"You're sorry? Don't you think you're sorry is already five years late?" she wants to scream at him but she didn't because she doesn't want to embarrass her parents.

She puts down the glass and held Edward's hand that was stroking her hair.

"It doesn't matter. Can I go to the restroom for a bit?" she asks wearily.

She suddenly feels so tired from everything that has happened.

"Actually, can we just skip the reception? I feel tired from the flight."

"Stay here! I'll go talk to your parents."

And Edward immediately stood up and went to where her parents are currently talking to some of the guests.

She could see from where she is sitting that Edward took aside her father and talked to him.

Everything that is happening around her seems to be a blur.

She has a lot of questions on her mind.

She is taken out of her reverie when she sees Edward approaching her.

She still hasn't fully recovered from the shock of being married to him.

"Let's go Mrs. Mary Dale Tanaka Barber!" and he held her hand and ushered her to get up.

When she did stand up he suddenly scooped her up and carried her like the newlywed bride that she is.

And once again the crowd cheered them on.

Dale felt her cheeks redden from embarrassment.

"Put me down!" she whispers in his ear.

Edward started walking towards the exit.

He ignores Dale's plea.

Dale sighs wearily.

She knows there's no use talking to him.

He always does what he wants to do.

He didn't put her down even though they are already outside the banquet hall.

He continued to carry her inside the elevator.

"You can put me down now. They can't see us anymore."

He noticed the weariness in her voice.

He put her down but still held her hand.

He intertwined his fingers through hers.

Silence enveloped them.

"Where are we going?" Dale asks without looking at him.

"Home."

She doesn't know whether to laugh or cry when he said that word.

"Where is home?"

"You'll see!" and just then the elevator opened.

He ushers her outside and leads her to his car.

When she is settled in her seat, he went around and got in the driver's seat.

He sees that she already put on her seat belt so he starts the engine.

He noticed her eyelids drooping.

"You should rest first! I know you're tired from the flight." he suggests without looking at her.

She rested her head on the window and closed her eyes without saying a word.

Sleep overtook her body immediately.

He could hear her soft snores and he chuckled a bit.

"I guess some things never change." he says under his breath.

He tucked a stray hair out of her face.

He softly stroked her cheek.

"I'm so sorry it took me five years to fulfill my promise." he whispers to her.
