After they reached climax, Edward lay beside her and encircled her in his arms.

But Dale got out of his embrace and sat up.

"Let's not keep my parents waiting!" she said without looking at him.

She slowly stood up out of the bed and walked towards the bathroom naked.

Edward couldn't find the words to speak.

He put his arm over his eyes to hide the disappointment he is feeling.

He is hurt.

He feels like Dale used him.

What happened between them, was it really just sex for his wife?

He got up and sat on the bed.

"Was this how she felt when I broke up with her?"

He knows it's his fault why his wife is treating him this way but he can't ignore the fact that he's hurting with what is happening.

He needs to do something about their situation.

"I need to make her realize that I really love her!" he says with determination in his mind.

After closing the bathroom door, Dale leaned on it.

She feels so tired.

Not only because of the lovemaking that they did but also because of the lies between them.

She couldn't believe that she could say those things to Edward.

To tell him to pretend in front of her family and to other people.

And to tell him that he can womanize but he can't impregnate another woman but her.

"What the hell were you thinking when you said those things?" she asks herself.

"Why did he agree to pretend?"

"Does it mean he really is just pretending that he loves me?"

"But why did I feel that he got hurt when I said that what's between us is just a business marriage?"

"And why is it that my broken heart still wants to believe that Edward really loves me?"

"For what?"

"So I can get hurt again?"

But she can't deny that she felt Edward's longing for her while they were making love.

A part of her broken heart feels that it wasn't just sex that happened between them but the reunion of two broken souls that have been longing for each other.

The question is, is what she felt real?

Or was it just because of the longing that she felt for Edward?

She won't deny it to herself that she still loves Edward.

She wants to be happy with him even if they are just pretending.

She only hopes that he won't notice that she really does love him and that she's not just pretending.
