Broken Heart

A month has passed and it is as if nothing could ever burst the bubble of happiness surrounding Edward and Dale.

Their restaurant is a hit and their relationship seems to be stronger than before.

Toma's visit to Dale was postponed because of an important surgery he had to do in the hospital.

Which was fine with Edward because admittedly he feels a bit jealous of the time Dale and Toma spent together in all those years they were apart.

Even though they're just friends as Dale explained to him.

Still Edward is jealous of the time that he wasn't with Dale and Toma was there for her.

Meanwhile, Dale would have wanted Edward to mend his relationship with his dad and stepmother but it is Edward who isn't ready yet.

So she didn't insist on it but she always reminds him that despite what they did they are still his parents.

"How can you say that after what my stepmother did to you?" Edward asked her.

"Because here we are now, together. And I no longer want to live my life holding on to a grudge. I'm happy now with you in spite of and despite everything that she said and did in the past."

"I wish I could be as forgiving as you are my love. You really are one of a kind!"

"I know right!" she says teasingly in agreement.

"And you are my one of a kind! Only mine!" Edward declared before moving in to kiss her.

But before he could do so, she pulled away from him and ran to the bathroom.

Edward got up from the bed and followed her.

He sees Dale vomiting and he is immediately by her side.

"What's wrong my love?" he asks as he softly rubs her back.

Dale didn't answer and just continues to vomit.

"Let's go to the hospital!" Edward says in panic when Dale didn't answer.

She shook her head and holds Edward's hand to still him.

"But..."

Dale washes herself before facing Edward.

"It's alright my heart! I'm okay! There's nothing to worry about!" she says with a wan smile trying to calm Edward.

"But you don't look okay! You can't blame me for being worried because of your heart's condition! Please don't be stubborn Dale, let's go to the hospital just to be sure!" Edward tries to convince her while trying to show a brave front.

Dale sighs but smiles at Edward and squeezes his hand in assurance.

"Alright my heart, we'll go to the hospital just to be sure!"

Edward insisted on assisting her while getting dressed before getting dressed himself.

Dale couldn't help but smile at the way Edward looks like he's having a panic attack.

She wonders how he would be like if ever she gets pregnant and is about to give birth.

"Let's go my love!" as Edward assists her.

She just lets him so as not to add to his worry.

They arrive at a nearby hospital and as Edward assists her in getting out of the car, she faints.

"Dale!!!"
