Chapter 15 "Confrontation":

Clem's POV:
I open the hatch and went back outside as the first thing I heard was AJ yelling, "Where is Clementine?!" Then look over to see him with Gabe as he had a gun pointed right at Marlon with others surrounding them. "AJ, put the gun down." Thomas said of him as Gabe yelled at Marlon, "Answer his fucking question. Where is she?! Where is Clementine?!" "Get this fucking psycho away from me!!" Marlon screamed as AJ repeated, "Where is she?!" " she... She's in the basement. She murdered Brody." He lied as everyone was in disbelief including Gabe and AJ. I threw my flashlight down in frustration as I began to walk towards the group of people. "Wait, is that blood on your face?" Gabe asked Marlon as he put his hand on the part of his face where the blood was. "Why Brody? Did you see it happen? Is she a walker now?" Others in the group began to ask Marlon.
"That's bullshit, Marlon!!" I yelled out in anger as I placed a hand on my one hip. "Clem!!" AJ yelled in joy as Gabe looked at me with a big grin. "You killed Brody. You hit her so hard, her head split open." I stated my case as lightning struck down from the sky and Rosie was barking like crazy. "That's a lie! I saw you kill her!" Marlon barked back as Violet, Louis, Ten, and Erika joined the group circle. "Look at her hands! She's covered in Brody's blood." Marlon yelled out pointing right at me. I looked down at my hands to see her blood on them but only from when after she turned. "Jesus Christ Clem. What did you do?" Ten asked as I looked back at AJ and Gabe who's smiles have turned from looks of horror and fright. "Clem, tell me... tell me this isn't true?" Gabe asked sounding emotionally hurt. "It isn't true!!! Marlon's just trying to set me up." I said in sad desperation.
Marlon then took the opportunity to swipe AJs gun away from him and push him to the ground. "Hey keep your hands off him!" Gabe snapped at Marlon as he snapped back, "Shut the fuck up Gabriel. It's not like you haven't crossed any lines before on multiple occasions." He then held up AJs gun and said, "We saved their lives when anyone else would've kept walking! We fed them, we kept them warm! And this is how they thank us?! Guns being pulled and murder?! Well FUCK THEM!!" Marlon then pointed the gun at me with everyone gasping in disbelief again. "Marlon calm the fuck down!" Gabe and Louis said simultaneously. "Go ahead. You already took one life today. What's another one for the pile? It's holding you back in Marlon? Cowardice? Guilt? Or both?" I asked him with a boost of attitude I've never given before. "Brody told me that Marlon was going to give me an AJ up to raiders in exchange for safety. The same way he gave up Sophie and Minnie." I said as I looked at Ten who looked completely mortified.
"Oh shut the fuck up Clementine!" He yelled as Gabe snapped, "Let her talk Marlon!" "Brody told me the truth and that's when Marlon killed her." I said as Gabe looked at him with a look of disgust. "Oh come the fuck on! The only reason they met up with these Raiders is because Clementine insisted they go out there. Quite the coincidence, isn't it? Shame I don't believe in those. First thing she did was try to attack us Ten. Think of how scared we all were when the adults left. I pulled us out of that fear. I gave us all courage again. Who are y'all going to believe, huh? Johnny come lately and her little fucking lunatic? Or Me? Your friend?" He said still holding the gun at me.
"Well she did help us get food, didn't she?" Louis tried to help me as Erika replied, "But what good is food if outsiders are going to come and take it?" I looked around trying to find help as my eyes landed on Violet. " Violet please. You have to believe me." I said trying to win her over. "I'm sorry Clem, but I... can't. I've known Marlon for a longer you know? And I don't know you Clem, not really. I don't see any reason to trust you." She said as I was hurt by her words. "Then I guess you never will." I replied. "Exactly Violet. You don't. You just met her like two days ago." Marlon then budged in as he came even closer to me with the gun. But as he was about to pull the trigger, Gabe stepped in between us. "Get the fuck out of the way, Gabriel. She's not worth your life, is she?!" Marlon asked him. "Honestly Marlon, over the years I've been able to detect bullshit pretty well and the more and more you talk, the stinkier and stinkier it gets. And to answer your question, I would always put my life on the line for her and AJ. No matter what." He said as what he just said made me feel so happy and warm inside. Like my heart was on fire. "Well I guess that makes you just as stupid and ignorant as they are! I will not ask again, move out of the fucking way!!!" He screamed out as Gabe stood his ground and said, "No!!" I then yelled back out and Violet, "If you were there of the day when the Raiders came, he would've abandoned you too!"
"Stand down Marlon. Be reasonable." Louis said as others chimed in as well. "You don't get it. You... you don't understand it all, do you? I'm trying to PROTECT YOU!! All of you!! Every fucking one of you!!!!!" Marlon screamed in desperation. "Well you are fucking failing at it! Brody is dead. Sophie and Minerva are gone. You suck at protection!" I yelled at him as he returned, "Shut your fucking whore mouth!!" "I made the right call. I saved the lives of everyone in this fucking school! If they came back... I'd do it again!! In a heartbeat!!" He continued as other kids then stepped forward and said, "Excuse me?! I didn't realize we were so fucking expendable?! Your a Dick!" "You told me that they died!" Ten then stepped in looking furious. "I had to save the rest of you OK?" Marlon tried to excuse as Ten then replied, "You gave my sisters away!! I would you do something like that? I trusted you Marlon! THEY ALL TRUSTED YOU!!!" "Easy because he's a coward." I said as Marlon looked so nervous that it was almost embarrassing. "I wanted to get them. Stage some kind of rescue. Honest, Ten I just couldn't. I was... I was too afraid." He said finally putting the gun down. "You killed Brody because she knew?" Ten then asked him. "Mhmm. I didn't mean to. I didn't want this. I wanted to save all of you. Sophie. Minerva." Marlon then as Gabe said, "You're fucking pathetic Marlon. You're acting like a child. Something I should know. But the fact of the matter is you killed Brody. One of my closest friends. And worst of all you tried to put it all on Clementine you goddamn fucking sack of shit."
I then charged at Marlon and tried to take away the gun from his hand as he then pointed it back at me before I grabbed his arm and pointed the gun away before it went off. We wrestled for a bit until I need him in the stomach twice and then bitch slapped him across the face knocking him down and putting the gun in my hand as I threw it away. "Ok. Ok. I'm... I'm done. I'm done." Marlon kept repeating. "Wow, she kicked his ass." I heard one of the kids say behind me as I stood tall in front of Marlon. "You are getting thrown into the basement until we can figure out what to do with you." I said as Marlon began to stand up. "Fine. Ok, fine. You wi...." He said until he knocked me down to the ground and tried to grab the gun I threw away. Gabe then ran towards him and knocked him to the ground as well as the two began to fight. I felt my head injury begin to open up again as blood cane oozing from my head. Gabe and Marlon were now head to head as the two of them began wrestling with each other. Their arms were collided with each other's as Gabe yelled, "You fucking asshole! I thought you were my friend!!" as Marlon responded, "And I thought you were mine you traitorous piece of fucking horse co...." Marlon was that interrupted by a gunshot going off and hitting him straight to the head as his corpse fell into Gabe's arms as they were now covered in his blood. I then got up as I saw AJ pointing the gun that Marlon was trying to go after as I knew he was the one who killed him. When looked horrified as AJ said, "What? I didn't hesitate. I didn't...." He then began bursting into tears as I ran up to him and hugged him super tightly. "It's OK AJ. It's OK." I said as he hugged me back and Gabe walked up to him. "Yeah little buddy. You just saved my life." He said as he kneeled down and hugged AJ as well. "Let's just all go back to bed. We'll talk about this in the morning." Gabe said to everyone as they all went back to bed most likely as scared and horrified as I was.
