Chapter 26 "Attack of the Saviors":

(Time Skip: One Month Later)
Clem's POV:
A month has passed by pretty quickly since we got back with the twins as lucky there hasn't been no sign of the Saviors at all. Which has come to the relief of me and the others who knew like the twins, Louis, Violet, and Thomas. Speaking of Thomas, he finally had he balls to tell Sofie how he truly felt and luckily she felt the same way about him. So they're now a couple and both live in his dorm. Tenn moved out of AJs room as well. Not because he didn't like living with AJ, but because he wanted to spend more time with his sisters so he moved in with Minerva. Gabe has chilled out for the most part. Although he is still a bit on edge about the Saviors. I have tried to assure him that they won't come since it's been a month but Gabe still doesn't believe it. I don't blame him but at the same time it's been a month. If they were going to attack, they would have done it already.
It was late afternoon just as the sun was setting and I was spending some quality time with Gabe while AJ was playing with Tenn at Minerva's place. We weren't doing anything exciting, just cuddling up with each other on the bed. And I wouldn't have it any other way. "Oh Gabe. I love you." I said out of nowhere. "I love you too, Clemmy." He replied as I gave him a raised eyebrow. "Clemmy huh? That's a new one." I said as Gabe chuckled and replied, "Yeah I just thought I'd give it a shot." "Well whatever you say, Gabey." I teased. "Well I walked right into that one, didn't I?" Gabe asked rhetorically as I said, "Yeah. You did." I nuzzled my head into his neck a bit more so we could be even closer as Gabe then kissed my lips as I kissed back. "I love your kisses, Clem." He said as I blushed and responded, "Right back at you, dork. Kissing you makes me happy." Gabe just chuckled and said, "Then I'll kiss you all the time if it makes you happy." "I'd love that." I said. "Oh wait, I have an idea." He said getting up for a second and taking Marlon's old Polaroid camera off the self. "Let's take a quick picture." He said as I was confused but decided to go with it. "Ok." I responded as he laid back down on the bed and held the camera above us. We both snuggled up together and smiled while holding on to each other. He took two photos as the pictures printed from the bottom. Gabe shook them for a second and handed one to me. "It's something for us to have if we ever get separated and miss each other." He said as I felt happy. "Oh Gabe, that is so sweet. Thank you." I said as we leaned our faces in for yet another kiss.
"So are you still worried that they're coming? The Saviors I mean." I asked him as his smile turned into a slight frown. "Kinda." He simply answered. "It's ok, Gabe. They would of attacked us already if they were going to at all. We should just consider ourselves lucky." I said. "Yeah, I guess you have a point. I mean Negan didn't hesitate to attack New Richmond so why would he with us?" He asked. "Exactly. There's nothing to worry about." I said. "Honestly, I just want to stop thinking about it. Just to put my mind on something else for a change." He then said as I then moved my body on top of his. "I think I can help you with that." I flirted seductively. "Clem, you are always on my mind. You are the most important person in my life." He then said as I saw his blush. "Then kiss me like I am, dork." I flirted again as Gabe wrapped his arms around my waist as our lips smashed into each other. I didn't know why I was acting so horny but I guess Gabe just brings that out of me. And honestly, I kind of like it.
As our make out session started becoming more and more heated, we suddenly heard the sound of a car coming from outside followed by gunfire. We quickly stopped and went toward the window to see what was going on. Out the window we saw something that horrified the both of us to our core. The Saviors were her at the school and were firing their weapons. "Oh shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!" Gabe said starting to freak out. "Gabe, calm down. We need to thi... Oh my god, AJ!!" I yelled remembering that AJ was still with Tenn and Minerva. "Gabe stay here and pack as much as you can. I'm gonna make sure AJ is safe." I said as I put my hat on and headed for the door. As I opened it, I felt Gabe grab my hand kind of tightly and said, "Clem, just... just be careful out there." "Gabe, when have I not been careful. After AJ is safe, I'll try and help the other kids. Meet me down there and bring a gun." I replied as he then nodded, let go, and I left to find AJ and him and the others to safety.
I got downstairs as everything was going to shit. It didn't look like they were killing the others but instead were rounding them up for something. I ran as fast as I could to Minerva's dorm as two guards got in front of me while holding up theirs weapons in my direction. "Hold it right there, bitch!" One yelled as I took out my gun and was about to fire it until a third guard grabbed me from behind like a bear hug. "Without hesitation, I kicked him in the balls with the heap of my foot as he let go of me out of pain. I shot him in the head followed by the other two guards. They fell down dead as I continued running while grenades were going off. I got to Minerva's dorm and kicked the door down only to find them already being held at gun point by Saviors. "Cle...Clem?!" AJ said sounding so scared it broke my heart. "AJ!! Don you fucking hurt him, you son of a...." I started screaming until another savior came behind me and pointed a gun at the back of my head. "You come now or get bullet in skull." I heard him say as I recognized it was Arvo's voice. "Drop your weapon." He continued as I wanted to put up a fight but knew if I did, AJ would die. I did as instructed and dropped my gun to the floor in surrender. "Good. Now come." Arvo said still pointing it at my head as another guard came into the room and grabbed me by both wrists as we we walked out as their prisoners.
