Luna's Birthday Luna's POV Right now, Lucas is taking me somewhere I don't know because my eyes are covered. "Lucas, how much longer?" I said. "10 minutes. You're going to love it." Lucas said as our dogs Rosa, Pooh Bear and Russell were playing around in the back of the car. 10 minutes went by and I felt the car stop. "We're here but no looking." Lucas said looking his door. I hear my door open and I get helped out the car. "Just wait here." Lucas said opening another door which I'm guessing is our dogs since they ran to my foot. We start walking again and I felt the sand between my toes. Are we at the beach? "Just a few more steps and stop. You can look now." I take the blindfold off and see we're at the beach. "Lucas, it's beautiful." As our dogs run to the water but run back to us as the water cane near them. He sets the blanket down and the basket for our food. A birthday beach picnic. "Happy Birthday Love." Lucas said kissing me. "Thank you." I said pulling away. We sat down and began eating while talking and playing with our dog trio.
We were looking at the stars when Lucas cleared his throat. "Luna, I love you and I'm hoping you're having a great birthday today. I wanted to give you your gift here." Lucas said handing me a box. I look at the box and felt it's a bit heavy. I open and see a book. I take it out and see it's a scrapbook. I open it and see memories of us over the years. When we first started to get to know each other to now. "There's more to this." Lucas said pointing at the envelops sticking out. I open them and see they're from years ago. I read a couple of them but one stuck out. His first trip to Noah.

I miss you. I wish I could how i feel about you but I'm scared. Our friendship I don't want to lose. But every time I see you with him, it makes me jealous and breaks my heart that it isn't me. But you're happy and I rather you be happy than sad. I just wish I told you first. You're the girl of my dreams. Jimmy, Fergal, Marty know how I feel about you and tell me to ask you to go on a date but I freeze every time. You have this effect on me. I get lost with everything you do. Back to the present I look at Lucas and started crying. I didn't realise how much he loved me. I was blinded by idiots when the perfect guy was just a phone call away. I hug him. "Lucas, I love you and I'm sorry for hurting you. I wish you told me this years ago. You're perfect to me and I know I'm not perfect. I'm lucky to have you in my life." I said. Lucas hugged me. "That's how much you mean to. I've been working on this for years. I love you Luna. From the moment I met you and still do. You're my queen." Lucas said kissing me and then my pregnant belly. I grab his chin and kiss him lightly. "Lucas thank you. It's the best gift I've ever received besides our kid that's in my belly."
We stayed laying together looking at the stars with our dogs cuddling to us. I yawn. "Tired love?" I nod. We get up. Lucas gets the basket and blanket while I get our dogs to follow us. We get back to our car to head back to our house.
We get home where our dogs rush inside while Lucas and me put everything away before we go to bed. We get to bed where we end my birthday with a cuddle session. "Thank you for the best birthday." I said. "You're welcome. Time to get some sleep, we have your gender reveal party tomorrow." I nod and drift off to sleep with the best guy I know and love.
