I glared into Justin's dark brown eyes, I tried to find the person I once recognized in them. I was looking into the eyes of a complete stranger.

He pulled out another cigarette and placed it between his plum pink lips, lighting it with the lighter. It only took him a second to blow the smoke into my face again. I kept the look on my face stern as his lips stretched into a smile.

"You have fun wrecking your life, I'm just going to walk away," I stated, breaking his intense stare.

He didn't say a word in return and I began to walk away until he grabbed my arm and pulled me into his tight grasp. It all happened so quickly, I didn't even have time to react. His lips made their way to mine and he dared to blow the cigarette smoke into my mouth. It only lasted a second but it was enough to make my heart pound. I pulled away, coughing while his hands still clung onto my waist.

"That was fucking disgusting," I shouted at him, pushing him away with whatever force I could manage to use.

He shrugged carelessly and walked off, a smile evident on his face.

I felt dumbfounded, I could never understand what exactly goes on in this guy's mind. It's a never ending maze. A part of me wanted to hate him, shout at him for everything he did wrong, tell him about all the times he hurt me, left me confused and in tears. The other part of me just wanted him to make this okay, I knew our relationship was too far gone, and probably has way too many flaws.

How can you fix something that's meant to stay broken? Our relationship was like a broken glass. You can try and try to glue a it back together, but it will never be the same. The more you glue it together, the weaker it becomes. It becomes so fragile.

Shrugging away my thoughts, I walked back to the campus and pulled out my notebooks, hoping I could get started on homework, I was losing motivation and I would hate to be the person that lacks in education over a stupid, silly boy.

The touch of his lips left my lips in a tingling sensation.

It had been two hours and I had managed to finish two assignments. I decided that was enough for now. It was getting dark outside and I turned over to Katie, who was watching a show on her laptop.

"Wanna go out for dinner?" I questioned, breaking her focus on the show.

"I'm actually starving, please let's go," she said, dramatically as she stood up from her bed.

I smiled and grabbed my grey knitted cardigan off the bed, throwing it over my shirt. I assumed it would be colder out at this time.

As we headed outside to Katie's car, I hugged my arms tightly, trying to shield away the sudden burst of coldness my body was feeling.

I've always enjoyed the cold in the night. It seems to be one of the only times I find myself breathing calmly. The night sky, lit up with nothing but the natural light of the stars and the moon. The cold air consumed my lungs and I let out a deep breath that I hadn't even realized I was holding in.

I got into Katie's car and buckled in. My arms were still covered in goosebumps.

"So where we eatin?" Katie asked as she turned on the radio.

"What about that thai restaurant that just recently opened near shoppers?" I suggested.

"Ou, I could go for Thai food right now," she nodded her head, a small smile occupying her lips.

The ride to the restaurant was faster than I imagined, Katie and I made small talk but none of us had much energy at this time.

As Katie parked the car, my head began racing fast when I spotted Luke's car. Why do people always have to arrive at the perfect fucking time?
Katie's face lost it's light as her eyes fell to Luke.

"You got this," I urged, trying to be somewhat helpful.

"This is going to be awkward as fuck." She stated, as she ran her hand through her silky hair.

We stepped out of the car, heading towards the small restaurant ahead of us.

It wasn't long until we were stopped by Luke hollering out my name.

Just fucking fantastic.

Katie turned around before me, almost as if she expected him to call out her name.
A surprised expression took over my face and I raised my eyebrow at him.

"What do you want?" I questioned Luke. No emotion revealed in my tone.

"I'm going to get us a table, you have fun with..." Katie pointed to Luke, "that."

I playfully rolled my eyes at her as she walked away.

Luke shot us a questioned look as Katie walked away.

"How's you?" He asked, now standing in front of me.

I picked up the scent of weed instantly. I can barely deal with sober Luke, how the fuck do I manage a high Luke?

"I'm hungry, so kind of annoyed at the moment." I answered.

"Hoes gotta eat," he laughed, "need anything to help with the thirst too?"

"I like that you think you're funny," I sarcastically laughed.

"Thank..." he started but he was interrupted by his voice buzzing.

He checked his phone and quickly placed it back into his pocket.

"So listen," he continued, "there's a party tomorrow, you and the little bitch you came with...what's her name? ..." He shut his eyes, pretending to think, "Katie.. yeah Katie. You two are going to come?"

"That little bitch was a girl you once begged for," I said, "and no we're not."

"Yeah you are," he smiled.

"Uhm. No?"

"Justin's gonna be there," he winked.

"You're insane, you know that? First you go out of your way to break us up, and now that you've managed to do that... you want me going near him?"

He shrugged, "You're my entertainer."

I glared at him sternly, "funny."

"It'll be a great chance to show him what he missed out on?" Luke began, "he went out of his way to hurt you, bringing girls around purposely..."

I was now interested in what he had to say.

"It's your time to finally have the upper hand." He finished.

I thought about it. Luke was dumb but he did have a point. For once.

I was curious to see how Justin would react to me showing up, a big smile on my face and willing to dance with strangers in front of him. I wanted to be one that did something unpredictable for once. Like that kiss he gave me earlier. Something unexpected.

How would he feel? Watching me move on right in front of his eyes.

Something shook inside me, I suddenly found myself wanting to get a reaction out of him.

"So..." Luke said, playing with the silver chain around his neck.

"I'll see you there, text me the address."
