"The human heart has hidden treasures. In secret kept, in silence sealed; the thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, who's charms were broken if revealed." -Charlotte Bronte

Why does Justin have to stay here?

I can't figure what it is about him. He makes me uncomfortable with the way he's so open to hitting on me. And don't even get me started on the way he just gazes into my soul, leaving me with an intense aching in my chest. He makes me beyond nervous. Which is why, it would be a lot easier if he would just stay away. I am not interested in being his friend or even an acquaintance.

I busied myself by organizing Katies remaining clothes onto the drawer because the closet had no more space left. Katie and Luke were now laughing and talking while organizing some of her school notes.

"Thanks a lot for helping!" Katie smiled, finishing up.

I looked around the neatly and freshly cleaned room. There were four of us in here, making the room feel even smaller than it was.

"No problem," I responded, sitting on the corner of my bed while Luke straddled Katie on to his lap.

That's gonna take some time getting used to.

It wasn't long until they began making out. I couldn't help but allow the discomfort to be evident on my face. It's not like they were going to notice me right now.

I was glad when the room door opened once again, smiling when I came to face Isaac.

Thank you for saving me.

"Hey!" Isaac said, looking over at me. It wasn't long until he noticed my roommate and her boyfriend passionately making out. I gave him a pitiful smile which he returned. I walked over and gave him a small hug.

"Hey," I smiled "What's up?"

I could feel Justin glaring at us deeply from the corner of my eye, but I decided to ignore him. It wasn't long until Katie and Luke also became fixated on us.

Right. They have no clue who he is.

"Guys, this is Isaac, my best friend." I introduced him to them.

"I'm Katie," my roommate offered a nice, genuine smile.

Justin and Luke just nodded at him.

"That's Justin and that's Luke," I pointed to them.

"Hey Man," Said Luke.

It was Isaac's turn to nod.

This is awkward.

"You wanna go grab somethin' to eat?" Isaac turned his attention back to me.

"Sure, I haven't eaten anything since lunch" I agreed, grabbing my wallet.

"I figured," Isaac teased.

Justin was still glaring. I could feel my body shrinking. Why does he have to make me so nervous? What is it about him?

"You guys wanna come along?" I asked, attempting to be nice. Besides, I knew I was going to be seeing them a lot more often. So, maybe this was a good opportunity for me to get to know my roommate better.

"No, we have plans, thanks for asking though," Katie said, looking at Luke.

I couldn't help but sigh in relief because this introduction has been awkward enough.

"Okay, well I'll see you guys later." I said as I reached for the door, Isaac following behind me.

"Hold up, I wanna come," Justin stopped me.
