Rule and Sweet Pea had been scrubbing blood out of the carpet for the past half hour. "Thank you." Sweet Pea whispers from the silence, shocking Rule enough that she looks up from her spot on the ground. Rule had shot the goolie in his shoulder, leaving her to literally drag his ass out of the door. "You would've done the same Sweets, i'm just glad you're okay." Rule replied with a tight but real smile. They'd finally finished getting the blood out of the floors and walls, thank you hydrogen peroxide, when Toni Topaz  barged in. Rule and Sweet Pea both pointed their guns towards the door, Toni holding her now shaking hands up in surrender. "Woah guys, it's just me." she pleaded, letting out a grateful breath once they lowered their weapons. "Jesus guys, what the hell happened here?" she half shouts panickedly. The room starts to spin around Rule, making her stagger for the tiny blue rocking chair. Sweet Pea rushes towards her, Toni right behind him, and he cups Rules face in his hands.

"I'm sorry, I guess the lack of oxygen is still affecting me." Rule mutters weakly, focusing on the rough calluses and gentle touch of Sweets hands. Sweets brushes Rules long black hair back and lightly traces his fingertips along the hand marks on her neck, all the while telling Toni what happened in a low whisper. Sharp stabbing pain was all Rule felt in her abdomen, wrist, head, and face. She was pretty sure that multiple of her ribs were broken along with her right wrist. Her forest green eyes couldn't help but trace over Sweet Pea's caring figure, his deep black eyes locking with hers. "We should take her to the hospital." Sweet Pea tells Toni, forcing Rule to stand up and grabbing a pair of checkered vans from the closet for Rule to wear. She rolls her eyes, one of them swollen half shut, but nonetheless puts her shoes on and stands. Sweet Pea slips his hand around her waist to help her walk, small prickles of electricity zapping her wherever his arm touch her body. Toni's lips twitched upwards at the sight as she opened the door for the two injured ducklings and booted them outside. "Tell Jug for me Topaz!" Rule shouted behind her, Sweet Pea grabbing his extra helmet and carefully strapping it on her head.

This time, Sweet Pea climbs on behind Rule, his chest pressing into her back. She could feel each line and curve of his muscular chest, heat flushing her cheeks and making it a welcome distraction from the pain. Twenty minutes go by and they arrive at the hospital, both of them walking to the ER with some help from the other. After a few x-rays and blood tests each, Rule finds out she has four broken ribs and a broken wrist/hand, plus a small concussion. Sweet Pea had broken three ribs and gotten a mild concussion, not to mention they both had black eyes and bruises. Rule was sitting on an exam table waiting for a cast with Sweets sitting in a chair beside her, she was playing with all of the doctors equipment that she found fascinating. "Are you secretly five R?" Sweet Pea asks in amusement, Rule taking her attention away from rubber gloves to look at his sexy smirking face. Her heart fluttered when she took in his disheveled appearance ; a black circle surrounding his right eye, a small cut on his swollen lips, bloody knuckles, a small line across his throat that nicked the serpents tattoo on his neck. She found it hard to deny how attractive she found the boy, especially when he was a little roughed up. But what she wasn't fond of was how it was her fault he could've died.

"I'm sorry Sweets," she mutters guiltily with a low hung head. "You could've been seriously hurt and that's my fault." The sound of his boots making their way towards her could be heard, Rule still not having the dignity to lift her head. Sweet Pea stopped just in front of her, his rough hand lightly lifting her chin to look at him, his breath hitching when he saw how close her lips were to his. "I'm the one who punched Malachi, and I wouldn't have if it wasn't someone I cared about." The words flow out of Sweet Peas easily, shocking Rule. Her bruised hand subconsciously reaches out to trace the miniscule slice on his puffy lip, both parties holding their breath. "You care about me?" Rule asks with a childlike pleased smile. Sweet Pea chuckles against her fingertips, the small action bringing fire to her body. "For some reason." he replies playfully, the doctor they now realize is in the room clearing her throat. They jump apart, the older woman chuckling at the action as she walks over to Rule, cast in hand.

The familiar doctor smiled mischievously at Rule. "And here I thought we got rid of you Radlee." Rule smiles at the woman she used to see frequently before moving away. "Awe, I missed you to Annie." Rule replies to Doctor Green, knowing the woman well enough to call her by her first name. Doctor Green shakes her head at the young girl with a small smile, starting to put the cast on Rule without explaining since she knew the drill all to well. Once doctor green finally finished putting the black cast on Rule, knowing it was the only color she would accept, she quickly ushered the two of them out with some pain killers and a swift metaphorical kick in the ass. "Black," Sweet Pea notes while sliding the helmet on Rules head. "How fitting." he finishes sarcastically, climbing on the bike behind Rule. "I'd say it matches my soul but let's be honest," Rule replies, pausing for dramatic effect and leaning back to look at him.

"I don't have one."
