Sweet Pea helped a somber Rule zip up her black cheer uniform, her curled black hair brushing against his hands. Grabbing the matching cape Cheryl had given her, Rule slid it over her figure and zipped up the thigh high black boots Midge had always loved. "Angel," Rule looked over at her boyfriend, clad in a black dress shirt with the top few buttons unbuttoned and dress pants. "You can do this," Rule smiled ruefully, her plum painted lips, the same color Cheryl's would be, feeling forced as they walked out the door, driving to the funeral hand in hand. Once they arrived, Sweet Pea kissed Rules forehead, leading her towards the rest of the River Vixens and keeping her shielded with an umbrella before going to stand with Jughead. Cheryl locked hands with Rule, who tried to keep her eyes off the casket as she sang, ultimately failing.

"When you walk through the storm

Hold your head up high

And don't be afraid

Of the dark

At the end of the storm

There's a golden sky

And the sweet silver song

Of a lark-"

Sweet Peas gaze rested on Rules heavy limbed figure, her green eyes fluttering up to meet his while she sang. A few tears streamed down her face, his heart breaking at the sight. Shifting her sight to the side, her gaze hardened when Rule saw who was watching her every move. Hiram Lodge. She cut off her tears, standing tall and squeezing Cheryl's hand. Rule wouldn't let him see her cry. She would never let her enemy know her weakness.

"You'll never

Walk

Alone."

The two girls raised their hands, a signal for the other girls to raise their pom poms. Rule glanced at Cheryl, who nodded, already knowing exactly what she was going to do. "I also feel it is my duty to say that like the Furies of Ancient Greece," Sweet Pea watched as Rules gaze fell on Hiram Lodge "who ceaselessly pursue blood atonement when a crime's been committed, the Vixen's, Cheryl, and I vow that we will not rest until those responsible for the murder of our sister, is rightly punished."

Rule heart breaks as Cheryl escorts Mrs. Klump away from the casket, sobs racking the woman's body and triggering guilt in Rules. A gasp escaped Rule when Mrs. Klump struck Sheriff Keller, guilt in his eyes as Rule trudged over to him. "You'll find him, I know you will." Patting the arm of a shocked Sheriff, Rule started to look around for Sweet Pea, who'd seemingly disappeared.  "Are you alright Rule?" Reggie Mantle came up beside her, a look of worry on his handsome face. "I don't know Reg, I don't know." A small sound of surprise escaped Rule when Reggie tugged her into a hug, her small arms wrapping around his torso. "I'm always here, day or night." Pulling back, Reggie tucked a strand of hair behind Rules ear. Rule stood there in shock when Reggie walked away, unsure of what to make of what just happened.

"What the hell was that?" Rule internally winced, turning to look at Sweet Pea who had a mixture of anger, jealousy, and shock in his eyes. "Honestly? No clue. I think he was just being nice," Her words did nothing to unclench Sweet Peas jaw, a small smile tugging at Rules lips as she walked over to him. "You jealous?" Rule dragged her fingernail across Sweet Peas jaw, trailing her way down his tattoo and chest, hooking her finger in the waistline of his pants. Sweet Pea looked down, cheeks flaming a crimson red. "You're hot when your jealous," Rule leans up on her toes, lips brushing his ear as she speaks, planting a kiss right over his tattoo. Slipping her hand into his front pants pocket, Rule smirked when she brushed against him and he sucked in a shuddering breath, pulling out her truck keys and walking away.

"Okay, now that's just plain rude!"

............................

"Wait, you're actually going to help us? Just like that?" Betty stared incredulously at Rule, who held a rather amused expression on her face. "Yes Betty, just like that. You wanna investigate Chic? Lets do it. You need me to drag a dead body across the living room floor? Gimme a pair of gloves. Betty, you're a great friend and my cousins girlfriend, let's do this."  Rule patted Bettys upper arm, walking away and into the dressing room to change out of her gym uniform.

Black sweatshirt, fishnet tights, dark jean shorts, thigh high black and white socks, and black heeled boots later, Rule made her way outside of the school, texting Sweet Pea, who was home with the Flu, where she was going. Tossing her leg around her bike, Rule followed Betty and Jughead to The Sisters of Quiet Mercy. Rule smirked at the glaring Nun's and their judgemental stares at her choice of outfit, saluting them as she walked by. "I swear you want an exorcism performed on you," Rule shrugged at Jughead, the three of them sitting down in front of Sister Woodhouse.

"So we meet again Miss Cooper," Rule plays with the switchblade Sweet Pea gave her while they talk. "We need information about my brother, Charles Smith. Do you happen to know if Charles time here overlapped with Mr. Svenson's? He was your groundskeeper." Sister Woodhouse's face flashes with a mix of annoyance and anger. "I'm well aware of who Mr. Svenson was and what he became." Betty, slightly jittery, cuts her off. "Could we check Charles files just to see if the dates match?" Sister Woodhouse scoffs, Rule finally looking up from her knife. "I'm sure you have a court order demanding such a request?" Rule looks menacingly at the Nun, smirking as she leaned forward.

"No, we don't. But Cheryl Blossom is my best friend and Betty's cousin, who as you know recently escaped your secret gay re-education camp, so unless you cooperate we will be back with a court order and the FBI to shut you down. Now, I am not your number one fan," Rule slammed her knife into the desk, making everyone jump "so I will skin you alive, roll you in salt, and turn you into a human Margarita as an added bonus to the FBI. So what do you say, a Murderita or Charles files?"
