Rumbling echoed around 'Sunnyside Trailer Park', a dark haired teen pulling her Harley into a parking spot in front of the rundown dusty blue trailer. A sigh escaped her lips, pulling the keys out of the ignition and hoisting a leg over the metallic green machine. Her eyes wandered over her childhood home, spinning on her heel and beginning the five minute walk down the road to the local bar, not being able to enter the home she lived in for fourteen years while being sober. Stopping just short of the door, she looked up at the sign spelling the Whyte Wyrm, feeling a sense of comfort as she remembered all the time she spent drinking with her best friend and hitting on boys. Looking at her reflection in the window, she finally took a good look at herself for the first time on her four hour bike ride.
Her waist length curly black hair had been hastily thrown up in a messy bun, drawing out the sharp angles of her jaw and cheekbones, drawing out her piercing bottle-green eyes even more. Black high waisted jeans hugged her curvy body, matching fishnet tights visible through the various holes in her pants, specifically the large one covering her entire right thigh. An AC/DC cropped tank top left a large strip of her stomach exposed. Her serpents jacket was inside the trailer, having shipped it here with the everything else. As content with her clothing as she was going to get, her hand flung open the door, heeled boots clicking on the bar floor.
Several pairs of eyes clung to her body, a couple of them lingering on her above average chest and bubble butt. She'd gotten used to the stares ever since she hit puberty, but some still made her skin crawl. Of course, some of the people probably recognized her too, after all she'd been well known and she was the spitting image of her mother. Her face was plastered with her usual stony look as she slid onto the worn barstool. "Vodka, please, inside of the biggest glass you have." The middle aged bartender wasn't fazed at her young age or bored tone of voice. He nodded once before stalking off to get her order. "Who the hell are you?" The voice from behind her was a deep and angry rumble as the bartender sat her drink down. Picking up her glass and sipping her drink, she spun around on the stool like a child.
A tall and muscular black haired boy stood in front of her with his arms crossed, a glare on his extremely handsome and slightly bruised face. Her eyes raked over his body, tilting her head back and chugging her drink as she stood up. She was at least a foot shorter than him when she stood, but somehow she managed to look just as menacing with her icy cold glare. "What's it to you?" Shock was written on the boys face at the fact she had stood up to him, an edge to her tone, but it was replaced with a glare as soon as it came. He stepped closer to her, trying to be intimidating, but she didn't back down. "Only serpents are allowed in this bar, princess. Leave before I throw you at." He smirked triumphantly, the threat making him sound like a small child to her.
An amused smirk graced her lips as she chuckled "Oh, sweetie," Her face changed into a menacing glare mid-sentence, his eyes widening as he stepping back slightly. "Try it." She snarled. The sound of clapping interrupted the quarrel, both of their heads snapped to look at a pink haired girl. "Be careful, Pea, Rule will skin you alive." She recognized the voice instantly, her glare lessening to simple shock.
Rule rushed over to the girl and threw her arms around her. "Oh Topaz, I missed you." Toni wrapped her arms around Rule, missing her best friend who'd been gone for three years. "You know this chick?" They release each other from their embrace and loop their arms together, Toni looking at him with a smile. "Sweet Pea, meet Rule Jones, the most badass serpent I know." Rule bumps Toni's hip with a laugh that echoed around the room. Sweet Peas sharp jaw drops in incredulous shock. "This is Rule Jones?"
Rule looks at her best friend "Awe, you talk about me?" Rule spoke in a falsely sweet voice, placing an over dramatic hand to her heart. Toni rolls her brown eyes. "Seriously, Rule? You're a legend around here. Plus, I do talk about you, yes." She adds the last part in a rush, Rule laughing at her never changing childless ways. "I have to go, Jug said he cleaned the trailer and got everything ready for me but I still have to put my clothes and shit away. See you at school tomorrow?" Toni nods, Rule's eyes lingering on 'Sweet Pea' and his on her as she walks out the door. "See you later, sweets." Sweet Pea watched her every move, the beautiful girl making her way down the road. Toni watches with a grin as his eyes follow her. "Uh oh, Sweet Pea has a crush." Toni teases him with a shove, Sweet Pea snapping at her to simply 'shut up'.
Rule took a deep breath as she unlocked her front door and stepped inside, eyes wandering over the pictures on the walls and the familiar furniture. Her feet carried her to her old room, seeing nothing had changed except her cousin had set up a queen bed instead of the twin she had as a young girl. The pale yellow walls sent a pang through Rule's chest when she realized she had to get rid of a lot of stuff, having left everything when they moved. Bare feet moving across the hallway to her parents room, their clothes, pictures, and other items still there. A tear slipped down Rule's cheek as she let her ice cold act drop, slipping off her clothing and changing into one of her father's old t shirts, the smell of his cologne still lingering in the fabric. Peeling back the covers, Rule climbed into her parents bed after setting an alarm on her phone. Tears stained her face when she fell asleep, clutching a photo of her parents to her chest.
