Blissful

The strings finally slip off, allowing me to fall into a calm state of bliss.

I fall down, down, and down until I can hit a soft, blanketed ground.

I've waited for this for almost my whole life. The day when my joy is finally blooming and outstretching to the world.

For once, I'm as close as okay as I've been for a while. I can finally stop flinching when I smile. The ache is gone.

The choking regret is dim enough for me to breathe now.
