Sometimes, I'll see her smile at me
It happens in a flash
And I catch it and savour it
As if it was as fleeting and as gentle as a butterfly
And then it's gone
So I smile back
Wondering if she sees my smile
And captures it too
But then I take myself back to the world
And everything goes by
As if nothing happened at all
I guess that's how it works though
The world moves on
And eventually, I will too
But for now, I'll pretend I don't have to move at all
