At some point, I've gotta realize that my life is a legacy

I'm the sum of fights lost and won

I'm the prize some people couldn't reach

I'm the light at the end of a tunnel that took decades to traverse

I'm the product of a place where I won't ever have to hide my identity

I'm the sum of hundreds of thousands of voices that needed to be heard

That still need to be heard

And I need to carry it on

So that somewhere down the line, the next set of kids won't have to endure the problems I do
