To Forget

A lot of people actually came to the grand opening of the school. Deus and Demonia stood on either side of me with smiles as everyone was eager to know what was underneath the black barrier using up the most land by the Impiorum. Acelia was happily waiting to see what was going to benefit everyone. Alyss and Rocco stood close to one another eagerly watching as I got ready to present this new academy to everyone.

"With the help of various other leaders of the four Regions we came up with an idea to help adults show kids a better way of understanding our history, past, present and future. Not only that but to work as a society to improve one child at a time. I have asked Princess Acelia of Impiorum for some of her land to build something for our generations. It is not only for those with great powers or minds, this is for everyone who wants to learn, live and come together as four Regions." Summoning four dragons they stood and the four corners of the giant school which was four stories high, an arena in the center of the buildings that wrapped around it and a trail hiding off towards the mountains. "I present to all of you Academy of Four Regions." I threw my hands up in the air and with it came off the black sheet of power and my dragons roared. A perfect sculpted academy stood behind me.

By the faces of awe and happiness from Acelia I knew I did well. Deus and Demonia turned around to admire what I had done. My dragons got on all fours and roared, slowly they turned to statues. Just for a little more 'umph' to the academy.

"Open house, by all means take a look around, the Draco brothers will gladly show you around." The only ones beside me and Necator who actually have seen the inside of the academy before anyone else were the five dragon brothers.

Everyone walked in through all doors trying to see it. The dorms were on the south side of the academy, for all ages and sizes. Classes were all on the third, second and first floors of the school but to make use of the underground level I had a brilliant idea of an armory and larger arena along with secret passages for an escape route just in case. Staff also had rooms down on the underground level. The fourth floor was pretty much just for the dorms and a lounge. I also have roof access for all four buildings of the academy. The North, East and West connected but the South you had walk out of the buildings and towards the building which held most of the dorms inside. It was also the building closest to the mountain trail. It also happened to the biggest building.

Deus congratulated me before walking inside with Demonia who was all too excited to see it first hand. Alyss and Rocco gave me a bouquet of roses to congratulate me walking inside. I put a garden by the East building to make it livelier. Acelia gave me a hug thanking me every so grateful before walking in with her family. Her brother, Zatrein just wanted to be the first one to sign up. Pretty sure he was because Bo was the one in charge of the lists.

"Everyone seems happy," Kyran walked up to me and I nodded. "I didn't think you'd be able to finish by the end of this year."

"I had help," I answered before gesturing for Kyran to take Zeri inside. "Enjoy it while it's still fresh." I smiled at them.

I was actually really excited for the new year. I'm going to be a headmaster! Smiling to myself I stared at my now statued dragons protecting the school. They were only small so sixty feet was good but I hope to little kids, they won't be too intimidating.

Sitting on the head of the dragon on the East end I watched as Vince and Loren showed people inside the higher levels of the North and West end. Byron was enjoying himself as he introduced them to the South end and I didn't doubt Jaxon was enjoying himself down in the underground level. Zander was showing them in the East end where the cafeteria and gym were placed in the third and second floor. First classes and fourth were reserved for dorms.

My office was located at the North building at the very top floor in the middle so I was exactly below the two doors and I would be able to watch people walk into the academy. I had small dragons already placed in the walls watching for me already. This was set for perfect security and safety along with the best education and food.

Staring up to the sky I took in a deep breathe and enjoyed the happiness around me. I missed this way too much. Before I knew it it was already afternoon and as people began to leave I began to close up all the entrances. Everyone was out and I did a quick sweep with the small dragons to make sure no one was hiding. The Dracos looked exhausted so I let them leave. I was at the end of the small staircase leading to the North entrance which was the main entrance and smiled.

Rocco took a seat next time saying he let Alyss go off with Bo and Acelia. She deserved some girl time alone. I handed Rocco some apple slices which he gladly took.

"Aunt Shay?" Rocco looked to his right where I was sitting to him eating pear slices. "Did my parents abandon me?" Looking at Rocco I shook my head.

"Your mother died giving birth to you," I answered. "Your father, had a hard time living with himself thinking of the possible happiness he could've had with you." I patted Rocco's knee reassuringly. "You can ask him yourself in six days. He's coming for the birth of your two kids."

"What's the whole thing about the throne and rightful heir?" My heart dropped and I swear I almost pooped my pants. "Was my dad not the rightful king?"

"He-" I remembered what Necator told me yesterday and I couldn't find the words to tell Rocco. "Umm..." the scrolls wouldn't do anyone any good either. "Well, he wasn't the wrong heir?" I got myself a confused look. "It's complicated, it'll only stress you out, Necator will explain it to you all one day Rocco. You don't need to rush everything."

"But I do," Rocco sounded defeated. "I always thought I was ready to protect my family and make sure they were all okay, then you came and I realized I had no idea what I was doing. Seeing dad, made me realize I can't protect anyone. Then that man at Great Falls, just ruined my efforts. I mean, his power levels were beyond even me and Alyss put together. He smelt so familiar yet so dead." Rocco was frustrated and angry.

"Rocco, you saved my life." I furrowed my eyebrows. "That man had every intention of killing me and you saved me. I don't think you should worry about everything all at once, Necator will use whatever means possible to make sure you and your family is safe. I will protect you so that you don't have to fight on your own, Rocco, you are the King! King's do not let their will falter even if everything around them is falling a part." I stood up and turned to him again. "Being young is okay, let us handle our problems, this won't be your fight." I patted his shoulder.

"Who was that man? I want to know why he had you so out of it, did you know him?" Rocco tried a different approach and I tapped my chin.

"Yes I knew him," I answered carefully.

"You loved him," Rocco met my gaze and I nodded. "Did he love you?" I cracked a sad smile at that.

"I hope so," I answered softly.

"Aunt Shay," Rocco called out and I met his gaze. "Will you teach me more?"

"Gladly."
