I sighed as I went back to town. It was dark now, and I needed to get some herbs to prevent any pregnancy.

My mother had shown me how to make the tea. I hope the shop is open. And I was in luck. Miss Rain was about to close. She sells a lot of things from herbs to clothes. She's a multi-seller.

"Here you go," Miss Rain smiled. "Why this type of herbs? They are dangerous if you take too much."

"I know,"I smiled. "But to me, it's good for pain."

"Alright," she smiled. "Well, you better get going it's late."

"I will, thank you," I said and walked away.

But I stopped when I notice I left my pouch of coins. I groaned and went back.

I frowned when I saw Miss Rains door wide open. I know she was closing. Why would she leave it open?

I walked over and peeked in. "Hello? Miss Rain are you here?"

I jumped when I heard voices and a man appeared. "Miss Rain is okay, do you need something?'

"I forgot my money," I said. "Ah, it was on the counter." I looked, and the man had it hanging on his belt. "That's mine."

"I guess," he stepped forward. "We are going to have to deal with you too."

He grabbed me and closed the door. I snapped and gripped the man's arm and folded it back at an angle it shouldn't. The man screamed out. And three other ran downstairs.

"What the hell?" I look up at them. They freaked and stepped back. "Demon!"

I ran towards them and dragged them down. While I was busy beating the man up, I didn't see the fifth man coming from behind the counter.

And I felt this pain on my side. "Ah." I turn back and back slap the man sending him across the room into some barrels. I walked over and dragged him out to the street. I ignore the dagger sticking out from my side.

I dragged the other four out as well. I tied the five up to a pole and went back to the house.

I went upstairs, I took the dagger out and threw it on the floor. "Miss Rain?" I went into the room and found her tied up. I ran over and untied her. "Are you alright?" She nod. "Okay, I am glad, I shall get help." I stood and turned to the door.

"You're a demon?" She asked. I look back and saw fear in her eyes.

I look away. "Yes, I'll get help."

I went downstairs and grabbed my things. I went next door and knocked. The owner of the store opened. "What is it? Or it's you, Kanna. Do you need something?"

"Miss Rain," I said. "Those five over there tried to rob her. She's okay, but a bit shook up."

"Oh, dear," the man went back inside and came back with his coat on. Then he went and knocked on other doors.

A crowd form around the five men.

Once I knew Miss Rain was in good hands, I left and went to my cottage. I close the door and strip down. I winced.

I sat down in front of the fire and began to clean my wound. I grabbed a needle and string. I started to sew my wound up.

It was painful but nothing I haven't endured. I'll heal in a few days.

After I was sewed up, I burned the dress and made the tea. Miss Rain hates her now. About now the whole town must know a demon lives among them.

I will have to keep away from the town. It was fun while it lasted. I sat there drinking the tea. I will save some of this to plant.

I laid in bed curled up. It was fun being normal and not worry about anyone else. Or being judged.

Tomorrow will be a lonely day.

The next day I woke up feeling a bit sick. So I decided to stay inside. The one time I went out was to get water and take care of my garden.

I sat in front of the fireplace drawing. When I escaped, I had brought some of my important things. Such as this chalks and paper. My mother bought them for me. It was the only thing I could have while locked up in that hellhole.

I set the papers down and began to draw on the walls. It's the only thing I could do now. I can't go to town. I will only get rocks thrown at me.

I cough. "I need to sleep." I sat the chalks back in the box and crawled back in bed.

I need to let this fever pass.

"We have to leave," Kan said. "Our best option is to go where the vampires are. The kingdom is Anglican. It's our only safe place."

"Its too far," I said. "Across the ocean. We will stay here. And no arguing."

"Fine," Kan said.

And she didn't say anything after that.

I stare at the fire. I will be brave. I won't let anyone mistreat me anymore. If I have to, I can disguise myself and go to town.

I smile. I will do that. And to start, I will cut my hair. If I cut, it'll grow back in a matter of days.

I sighed and shiver. I stood and grabbed the extra blankets and wrapped up.

Even though its hot out I was feeling cold. It was the fever.

I wince and rub my side. I groaned and sat up. The wound reopened. I grabbed a clean cloth and pressed it against it.

I hope it stops bleeding.

"Ask Drakor for help?" Kan said.

"No," I said. "Drakor is angry at me. And I don't need his help. I can take care of myself. Now be quiet."

I don't need his help. All he will do is look at me with pity and hatred.

I don't even know why he hates demons. And he calls me a lier.

I don't lie I hold secrets. Therez a big difference between the two.

That lousy man.

I shivered and closed my eyes. I will let this pass and ill be back to normal tomorrow.
