I yawned and stretched. I look down. Kanna, she lay here in my arms. I am glad to have her here. But I am also worried. Nicole, it seems Kanna notice her behavior.
There could be problems if I don't keep them apart. "Sir." Nika knocked. "Are you two still sleeping? Breakfast is ready, and your brother is waiting."
I sat up. "We'll be down in a bit and have the bath ready."
"Yes sir," she said.
"Hmm," Kanna stir. "Morning."
"Morning," I said and kissed her head. "Nika will get the bath ready for us. Then we can go downstairs to eat."
"Okay," I stood and stretched.
I look down, and Kanna was stretching. I smiled and flicked her nose. She sneezed. "Bless you."
"Don't bless me," she said. "It's bad luck you know. I am a demon."
"Right," I slipped my trousers on. "Come on, up."
She stood and walked over to the balcony. I groaned and grabbed the robe and placed it around her. "Cover up; I don't want anyone to see you like this."
"Oh," she nodded and covered up. "Only you can." I nodded and kissed her head.
"Sir the bath is ready," Nika said.
"Thank you," I said and led Kanna into the next room.
"Wow," she dropped the robe and stepped into the tub. "Huge."
"You should see the pool," I said. "It's out in the garden though it'll get too cold for you to go in. Once summer comes around, you may use it."
She nods and stood in the middle of the tub and washed her body with the soap. "It feels nice. And this soap smells good too. Are you going to stand there?"
I chuckled and undressed. I stepped in and sat there. Kanna smiled and began to rub the soap against my chest. "So today you will stay by Nika's side. I have to tend to some business."
"Okay," she kissed me. "I will be here exploring. It's a huge castle you know. All the ceilings are tall why?"
"For us," I said. "Sometimes we shift inside. So the high ceilings are for that."
"Oh," she rests her head on my chest. "There is a lot I need to learn about you."
"You can ask Nika," I said. "She will tell you a bit about us. And if you want to know anything else that she can't tell you, asked me." She nod. "Anyways we should hurry up, Berith must be getting impatient."
"Okay," she stood and kept washing her hair.
"By the way," it's a good chance to ask her about her hair. "Why did you cut it?"
"I was going to disguise myself," she said. "To go to town and my red hair is a distraction. Anyone could've had recognized me immediately. So I cut it, don't worry it will grow back."
"Okay," I kissed her hair. "I like your long red hair never cut it, understood?"
She nod.
After our bath, we got dressed and went downstairs. Kanna was wearing one of the new dresses I had bought her. She twirled around the hall. I chuckled and steadied her when she got dizzy. "I will have to take the tea."
"No," I said. "I know you don't want to get pregnant, but I didn't come in you. I pulled out in time."
"I know," she sighed. "But I will get worried, and it'll be on my mind. Please, Drakor. Once I know I am ready to have your child I will stop taking it, I promise."
I sighed. "Okay, but it'll be temporary, okay?"
She nod.
"What took you two too long?" Berith asked as he was already eating. "I started without you."
"Its okay," Kanna said and sat down. "I don't mind. How are you? Hows your foot?"
"My foot is fine," Berith said. "By the way, Drakor. We have to go and deal with some wolfs running a mock in the weet woods."
"Alright," I said. "I will deal with the wolfs today. You don't have to keep telling me." I sighed. He can be a bit annoying. "By the way Berith how was your trip?"
"It was great," he said.
"Did you give them my gift?" I asked.
"Yes," he said. "Saya and Samuel got your gift, and I gave them your regards."
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Samuel said he won," Berith said,
I chuckled. "Indeed he did. But he won her heart a long time ago. Way before I even met her."
"Who?" Kanna asked. I looked at her. She was frowning.
"A woman," I said. "Before I even met you, I met her and I fell for her. But her heart belonged to someone else. But I never lost hope. In the end, she left this place and went back to her love. And now she is married and Queen."
"Oh," Kanna smiled. "She must be beautiful."
"Yes, she is," I smiled. "And you are beautiful too."
Kanna smiled. She grabbed some bread and a butter knife.
She spread some jelly on her bread and took a bite. Kanna can be a bit childish when she wants too. That is what I love about her.
I drank my coffee. "By the way, I took Nicole to her home last night. And it seems her husband is ill."
"Hmm," I frowned. "Sick? That man is as healthy as a rock. How can he be sick? That is so, strange."
"I know," Berith said. "The moment he married Nicole he got sick. You don't think she is making him sick?"
I look down. Nicole will do anything to get her wealth. But to kill? She knows she will be the first to be questioned. She better not, be trying to murder her husband. That will be bad.
"We shall look into it," I said. "But we can't let Nicole know."
"Okay," Berith said.
"Kanna," I looked at her. "I am leaving now. If you need anything ask Nika."
"I will," she said and kept eating. I stood and kissed her head. She swallowed and licked her lips. "See you later."
"Yeah," I said. "Berith come along,"
I left, and Berith followed out.
I walked out and got on my horse. "Let's go." I rode off, and Berith followed behind. "Let's deal with those wolfs and figure out a solution."
Dragons aren't the only thing living here there are some wolves and vampires around. But they each have their territories, and it seems they keep crossing the boundaries. So now I have to get involved.
There are other aside from them. But those are calmer. It's always the vampires and wolves that give me trouble.
And its time for me to set some rules.
A strict rule.
