Drakor: Chapt.13: Lovely

I groaned as I got home. I rub my sides. Those wolves are something. But at least I solved the problem.

"Who would've had guessed it," Berith helped up the steps. "That the whole problem was because of two lovebirds. A vampire and a wolf, in love and with a child they hid from everyone. It's a good thing we made it on time. That poor child was about to get killed. And now both sides are happy and know that times are changing."

"Yes," I said. "At least those two are alright now. Ah, but that Alpha sure is strong. "He took a nice bit out of me."

"You'll heal," he said. I nod.

I went and straight to the throne. I stopped and stared. Kanna laid on my throne reading a book and eating. "I see you are enjoying yourself."

Kanna looked over and smiled. "I am. It's comfy here, and someone has to tend to your people. And so far I have done a great job."  I am afraid of what she did. "Oh, what happened?" She rushed over. "Are you okay?"

"Just a small injury," I said. "I would feel much better if I had your body press against mine." I kissed her. And she pushed me away.

"Hey," she shook her head. "Quit, not here, can't you see you are embarrassing the children." She stepped back.

"Children?" I frowned. "What children? As far as I know, we don't have any."

"Your guards and the maids," she said. "They are embarrassed about stuff like this."

"Oh," I chuckled. "Than let's go to our bedroom. I need to take bathe and have my wound check."

She nods and rushed over to the throne and grabbed her book and something else. "Nika, can you get the bath ready? And I think tonight we are eating dinner in the bedroom."

"Of course," Nika smiled.

I smiled, having Kanna here is lovely. She knows how to run a kingdom. She will be a great queen. "What are those?"

"Nicole brought them," she said. "I don't like that woman. She wouldn't give them to me, so I snatched them from I told her you were away, and she was going to wait until you arrived to hand them to you. But as you can see, I didn't let her. She is a cheater."

"We can talk about it later," I said. 

She nod. "I do have something to ask you. But I will do it later."

I nod, and we went upstairs.

Once in our bedroom, I sat on the bed. Kanna helped me removed the shirt. I look down and notice she didn't have shoes on and her ankle bracelets were gold now. "Have you been barefoot all this time?"

"Yes," she said. "It feels nice. I like it."

"Ah," I smiled and winced. "Careful."

"Sorry," she said and wiped the blood. "It's already healing." I look down. "So, can I ask you something? I know I said I would wait, but I am too curious."

"Ask," I said stood.

"Whos Lovely?" I tensed and looked at her. "I guess that is a touchy subject. Sorry I didn't mean to ask."

I sighed. "It's fine; Lovely was my little sister."

"Oh," I looked at him. 

"She died," I said. "When she was still in her nest, a demon got to her." She looked down. "My parents couldn't get to her."

"Sorry," she said. "Nika told me what happened to your parents and her's."

"It was a long time ago," I said. "I have learned to forget as best I can. But Berith can't. Lovely was her twin. He saw everything."

She sighed. "My people sure did harm you. I am sorry for that."

"Kanna," I held her. "Don't blame yourself. That was in the past. You are different."

She nod.

"Ahem," Nika smiled. "The bath is ready."

"Thank you Nika," I said. "Come, you can help me bathe."

I lead her to the bath. I didn't want to make her feel bad. But I did. So I will have to make it up to her. "After this, I have a surprise for you."

"Oh," she smiled. But it didn't reach her eyes. "Okay."

I removed my trousers and stepped in. I winced the warm water sting my side. "So, Nicole? How did she react?"

"She was jealous," Kanna got in with me, and she held a needle and string. "Hold still; I will close the wound even though you are healing it best to take cautious so that it won't get infected." I nod. "Like I said she was jealous, and I told her while you were gone I would be in charge. She told I was nothing and that I shouldn't be sitting on your throne." She grin. I chuckled. "She told me you two had fun. But I told her now you have me, and that we share a bed every night. And we have sex."

I looked at her. "You told her that?" I didn't know Kanna was capable of telling someone about our sexual life.

"Aha," she smiled and cut the string. "There." I didn't even feel anything. "Whos better me or her?" I tensed. Why would she ask that? "Well?"

"You are," I said. "You are best in bed." I kissed her cheek "Is that why the guards are uncomfortable?"

"Yes," she giggled. "So how did you get hurt?" She ran the sponge against my chest.

"The Alpha," I said. "The wolfs and vampires were about to start a war among themselves, and I made it on time. I didn't know it was that bad."

"Wow," she tilts her head. "But why all the commotion?"

"Two lovebirds," I said. "A vampire female and a wolf male fell in love. Had a child together who they hid for three years. They have been together since their teens years. And later on, they had a child and protected him. But someone found out and told their leaders. That, someone, was a jealous woman that loved the Alpha's son. But the Alpha's son didn't like her. And yeah it was a big mess. But now everything is resolved. And that young couple is together and can raise their son without fear because they are under my protection."

"That is good," she smiled. "By the way, what's my surprise?"

"You will see," I said and kissed her. "Let's hurry up so that we can eat something. I am hungry."

"You can eat me," she said.

I groaned now that I know her better she isn't so, innocent. And I liked it.

"I would love too," I said. "But I am hungry for food. It's been a long day, we can have you later but for now food."

"Okay," she said and kissed me. I stroke her hair.

Kanna is a demon, yet I am starting to fall for her. Each day I get sucked into her world and love. I held her. I will make her my queen, soon.
