I smiled and looked at the maids. "There we go, now you all have something that makes you special. You all look pretty."
I twirled around, and they giggled. I kept passing on the jewelry that I made.
I made them for the maids first. As I was finishing up, I got this smell. I stepped out of the room and ran to the throne. It can't be.
I ran in and stood near the throne. I gasp.
"Kanna," Drakor walked over and held my hand. "Look who I found." He smiled. "Your family."
"Kanna?" I looked at my mother. "My sweet daughter." I ran over and hugged her.
"Mother!" I cried and held her tightly.
"Kanna," she cried and kissed my face. "My daughter I thought I would never see you again. But here you are. I knew you were safe. But Kanna." She looked at Drakor. "You are here, in the dragons den."
"It was the farthest island," I said. "That I could get too. And I have been okay here."
"You are living with the king?" I looked at my brother.
"Dante," I smiled. "It's good to see you too. And I see you are as grumpy as ever. Are you ever going to change?"
"No," he said. "Why are you living here with him?"
"He's protecting me," I said. "And we are together."
"Together?" My mother frowned. "As in, you sleep in his bed? Kanna, please tell me you aren't offering sex for protection?"
"Ah," I shook my head. "No mother, that is not the case I promise."
"You daughter will be my wife," Drakor stepped in. "We are soulmates, and there is nothing anyone can do."
"But do you love her?" My mother asked. I knew she was going to ask that. My mother is protective of Dante and me.
"I do," Drakor said. I looked at him he loves me? I didn't know. I smiled and held his hand. "Its why I have her here."
She sighed. "Well, I suppose she's in good hands. Please don't ever hurt her. My children mean the world to me."
"Do not worry," he said. "I won't; now then I will have the maids get rooms ready for you both. I am sure you had a long journey. After your settled in we can have dinner and talk."
"Oh right," I smiled. "Drakor, this is my mother, Taisha, And my twin brother Dante. Mom, brother, this is Lord Drakor McKinght."
"It's nice to meet you," Drakor said. "Kanna, have Nika showed them to their rooms. I will be back in a bit."
"Okay," I kissed him. "Mother, brother come on, we shall go find Nika." I held her hand. It's good to have them here. I led them to the kitchen where I know Nika would be hiding from Josiah. "Mother, how did you and Dante find me?"
"We heard," she said. "From the men that came back. The ones that went after you the king wasn't so happy. He knows he can't get to you. And he was going to use us against you, so we ran. Dante manages to find the location of this island. Hiding among the dragons I can tell they treated you well."
"I am glad your both safe," I said.
"Yes," she smiled. "Drakor seems like a nice man."
"He is," I said. "We didn't get along at first, but now well, here I am." I open the doors to the kitchen and gasp.
I stared as Nika had hit Josiah with a pan. "You can't just come in here and kiss me. I am still mad at you but thank you for the gift. Oh, Kanna, hi welcome. Josiah told me about your family. I already send maids to get two rooms ready in the left wing."
"Okay," I smiled and walked over. "Josiah, are you okay?" He groaned and rubbed his head.
"Yeah," he said. "I am glad Nika didn't crack my head open. Nika you are mean it was only a kiss."
"A forced kiss," Nika said. "Now leave me alone, I have dinner to tend too." I looked around. Is she the only one here?
"Are you alone?" I asked. "Arent there usually other cooks here?"
"Yes I'm alone," Nika said. "The two cooks are sleeping in the rooms. You know."
"Oh yeah," I smiled. "Well do you need any help?"
"No," she said. "I have Josiah to help me, right?"
"Why me?" He frowned.
Nika crossed her arms. "If you want to make it up to me you will help me out. Okay?"
"Okay," he said.
I shook my head. "Oh, mom have you two eaten?"
"Yes," she said. "A little bit on the tavern."
"Okay," I said. "I guess we can wait until dinner is ready. Come on, let's go I will show you to your bedrooms,"
I lead them out of the kitchen and upstairs to the left wing. I asked the maids that were leaving, and they showed me to the rooms.
"Here," I opened the one my mother would stay in, and it was beautiful. "Mother, this is your room and Dante yours in next to hers."
"Thank you," she smiled and entered. "We won't stay long; we can find somewhere else to stay."
"No mother," I said. "I am not letting you go I haven't seen you for so long. And now that I have you here I won't let you go. I want you here with me."
"Okay," she kissed my cheek. "Dante, you haven't even hugged you sister."
"She reeks," he said. "Of him." I glared and bonked his head. "Ow, why did you do that for?"
"Because," I said. "You are childish. Man up okay, and don't you dare go saying bad things about him." I hugged him. "I missed you, my twin."
Dante sighed and held me. "I miss you too."
"Oh yeah," I stepped back. "Drakor has a brother, but he is away and will be back soon. And try to get along with him."
"Okay," Dante said. "Why?"
"He is like you," I grin. "He likes men."
Dante glared. "I will never sleep with a dragon, not like you." He crossed his arms.
I sighed. "Anyways, rest and bathe. The maids left you some clothes; I hope they fit." I kissed their cheeks. "I will be downstairs."
"Okay," my mother held me. "We'll be there in a bit."
I nod and left them. I smiled and went downstairs. I am happy to have my family here. It's the best feeling.
I went to the right wing and toward the bedroom. I went in and found Drakor. "Oh hey."
"Hey," he pulled me to him and kissed me. "Are you happy?"
"I am,"I smiled. "I'm glad to have my mother and brother here with me."
"I see," he lifted my dress up. I look down. "I like seeing you happy." He picked me up and set me vanity.
"Ah," I smiled. "What are you doing?"
"A quickie," he said and lowered his trousers down and slid in. "It'll be fast."
I nod.
And it wasn't quick. We ended up in the bath together. After we got dressed, I sat in front of the vanity and brushed my hair. "Stressed?"
"Yeah," he said. "With the elders coming down, I am getting things ready plus I am still waiting on Berith."
"Everything will be fine," I said. "After dinner, I will massage your back. Now come on, my mother and brother should be waiting for us."
I held his hand and led him downstairs.
