Chapter 41

Alyssas POV:

It was the middle of the day and i was sitting there sketching more ideas for my new clothing line i'm coming out with. I drew floral sundresses looking more into the Ariana Grande type of style. I've always admired her sense of fashion. I started taking my pencil and creasing tiny lines slowly across the page stringing them all together to form a beautiful design filled will daisies and roses. I decided i liked it so i added a touch of color to it. I took my colored pencils out to shade in the flowers and added cute ruffles at the end of the dress. Perfect. Just as i got done sketching a few other dresses Suddenly my alert on my phone went off. I put down my pencil and picked up my phone. It was a call from Justin He was at the studio all day today working on his new album. He actually has a lot of good songs. I talked to him for awhile about what we wanted to do later and after i got off the phone I got bored with sketching designs so i walked over to the piano to play one of his new songs. Just as i sat down i suddenly realized i had no idea how to play any of them. I laughed at myself and decided to play 'Stay With Me' by Justin and I's really close friend Sam Smith.

"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand

These nights never seem to go to plan

I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?" I sang while coming in strong and soulful for the chorus.

But darling, stay with me." I sang with a soft ending. I finished playing the last keys on the piano and got up. I turned around to see caleb right behind me. I about jumped 10 feet in the air and almost peed myself.

"Oh hi baby." I said while putting my hand on my chest.

"Sorry if i scared you mommy. Its just that i heard pretty music and new daddy wasnt home so it had to be you." He said.

"Oh well thank you baby." I said while putting my arms out so he could give me a hug. He gave me a hug then said,

"Mommy why aren't you a singer like daddy? You're good enough at it to be one. That would be cool to see both mommy and daddy together singing." He smiled.

"Yeah, it would." I said. "Maybe one day." I smiled and kissed his forehead.

~later~

"Hey baby, how would you like to go swimming?" I asked Caleb as he ate his peaunt butter sandwich i just made him.

"Sure mommy, but can Calum come?" Caleb asked.

"Of course." I smiled. "But eat your sandwhich first." I said while putting the knife in the sink and the peanut butter away in the cabinet.

"Okay!" He said and quickly finished his sandwhich. "All done." He said with a mouth full of his sandwhich.

"Chew and swallow then you can go get your swim trunks on and ask calum if he would like to go swimming too." I said and chuckled at how cute he was. Caleb finished chewing and ran upstairs. I really wanted chicken nuggets so i texted Justin.

'Hey baby, will you pick me, calum and Caleb up some chicken nuggets from mcdonalds on your way home from the studio?' The text read.

'Anything for my two babies ;)' he immedietly texted back. I smiled at the text just as caleb and calum came running downstairs in their swim suits with cute fishy goggles on. I chuckled at how cute they were.

"Dont get in without me.. I have to change and get towels." I told them and ran upstairs. I knocked on Alexis' door to see if she'd like to come too. I knocked once. Nothing. I knocked twice. Still nothing. "Alexis.." I said softly and hit the door one more time. Nothing. I then tried opening it And the knob wouldnt turn. "calum!" I screamed and ran downstairs out to the pool.

"What?" He asked while sitting in the sand box playing with toy trucks with Caleb.

"Honey were you just in your moms room?" I asked him quickly.

"No i was in Calebs room playing with toys. Mommy told me to go play with him because she had to do something." He said.

"Sweetie do you have any idea what she had to do?" I said.

"No." He said. I ran inside and opened the drawer in the kitchen we kept all the keys in. I went thru all the keys looking for the key to unlock the bedroom doors. Found it. I grabbed it and ran upstairs and unlocked the door. I walked inside the room and no one was there. I walked into the bathroom and screamed. The boys must've heard me and ran inside.

"Hello?" Justin said. "I heard someone scream! Is everything okay?" He said as he walked in the front door from work.

"Help!" I screamed. Everyone rushed up here. Alexis was laying in the bathtub naked surrounded by empty pill bottles.

"Is she dead?" Justin asked.

"I dont know, let me get the boys out though and i'll call 911." I said. Justin nodded as I walked out to the boys.

"Is my mommy okay?" Calum asked.

"Sweetie i dont know yet.. Just go play in Calebs room." I said and they did as told. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

"911 whats your emergency." The operator said.

"Hi its Alyssa Braun.. Um we have house guests staying with us, 1 mom and 1 young boy.. Her names Alexis Chase shes in the bathtub surrounded by emty pill bottles.. We dont know if shes just passed out or if shes really dead." I said nervously.

"Okay ma'ma we'll be there as soon as we can. We already have your location." She said.

"Okay thank you." I said and hung up. I put my phone back into my pocket and walked back into alexis and calums bathroom and Justin was down trying to feel a pulse on her hand. He didnt feel anything so he went to feel if her heart was beating.

"Shes dead." Justin said.
