Alyssas POV:

"So what do you assume her cause of death was?" The officer asked me. We were standing in my living room and he was asking me questions and writing things down on his notepad while Justin was upstairs talking with the ambulance guys. They had to search the scene to see if there was any other cause of death.

"I want to say it was probably a drug overdose.." I said.

"Why do you say that?" He asked after a moment of writing on his note pad.

"When i found her.. She had empty pill bottles surrounding her." I said.

"Now ma'ma... Let me explain this to you.. If there is something Alexa didn't want you, I, or anyone to find out.. She could have taken pills out of pill bottles and knowingly flushed them down the toilet.. Set up the bottles exactly how she wanted, just to frame her own death." He said.

"Oh, wow, i never thought of it that way." I said.

"Well a way to find out is checking the dates on the pill bottles and we will take thoes as evidence.. And we will take her to the hospital and perform an autopys on her. Meanwhile, lets go check out the scene." He said. So we did. He went for the staircase and I followed close behind. we walked upstairs and into Alexis and Calums room.

"Did Alexis have another person living in this room with her?" the cop asked.

"Yeah, her 5 year old son Calum." I replied while leaning up against the door frame as he walked around and went through their clothes and stuff.

"Where is he?" He asked.

"In my son Calebs room playing with him and toys." I said while then crossing my arms.

"Does he know his mothers dead?" He asked.

"No, hes 5. I wasnt about to let him or Calum know about any of this until i found the right way to tell them." I said.

"Well have you found it?" He asked.

"I, I think." I replied looking down at the floor with a sigh.

"Alright.. Well would you go tell them? I have to Talk to Calum. I believe he would know something that would help us." The cop said.

"Okay." I said plainly. "I'll go tell them. But, it might take awhile.." I said.

"Okay thats fine, but dont take all day." He said and continued looking through alexis and Calums stuff. I walked down the hall and into Calebs room, shutting the door behind me.

"Oh, Hi Alyssa!" Calum smiled so happily. After i tell him, i probably wont see that smile again.

"Hi buddy." I smiled and gave him a hug.

"Hi mommy!" Caleb smiled and i also gave him a hug.

"alyssa.. Can you get me my toy in my room? I keep it in a very special spot so no one can find it." He said.

"Of course. Where is it?" I asked.

"In my underwear drawer." He giggled and covered his mouth.

"Okay silly, i'll be right back." I said and walked back to his room to get the toy.

"Did you tell them?" The officer asked me.

"Not yet.. Im getting calum his special toy and then i will." I said and rummaged through his underwear until i found it.

"Okay, make it quick."

"No promises." I said and walked out of the room with the toy. "Okay.. Here is your toy." I smiled. It was a little captain America action figure. I was so lost in my thoughts, i didnt know that Calum had been tapping my arm for like 5 minutes. "Oh, what sweetie." I asked.
