Chapter 22

Alyssas POV:

I woke up quickly as i heard loud rumbling thunder across the sky. I moved softly in Justins arms to see him still sleeping. His breathing pattern steady as could be. I moved an inch to get up and his arm pulled me back down to him.

"Please." Justin moved. "Please dont leave. she, she cant." He stuttered as a tear fell from his face. "It'll come back, it'll take me away i wont get Alyssa anymore i need Alyssa, i need alyssa, i need Alyssa!" He said almost shouting. Im guessing hes still sleeping?

"Justin sweetie, what'll come get you?" i asked softly.

"The monster inside of my head." He said softly.

"What monster?" I asked struggling to keep him sleep talking.

" The one keeping me away from Alyssa." he said as another tear fell from his eye. "I will die if i dont have Alyssa!" He screamed.

Baby why will you die?" I whispered softly.

"The depression will come back. And destroy me. For good." He said as my stomach dropped. Justin was in depression? What? When? How? Why? Me? Did i do something? Maybe he does love me. Theres something hes not telling me.

"Justin what do you mean?" I asked him softly.

"A-alyssa, she just cant leave. She cant do it." He said as tears fell from his eyes.

"Justin, i dont think you realize your talking to Me, Alyssa." I said while starting to lay down across his chest.

"Please dont tell Alyssa.." He said as his eyes closed slowly and he fell back into a deep sleep. I laid there softly across Justins chest pretending to sleep while thinking. No matter how hard i tried, i couldnt stop thinking about him. Suddenly another big boom of thunder sounded loudly reminding me it was still storming. Again, lightening flashed from the window into the dark room. I removed Justins arms from me when i was sure he was asleep, and i slowly and quietly got up. I grabbed my phone off my nightstand next to my bed and I walked into Calebs room to make sure he was okay. It was storming really bad and hes usually scared of storms so he comes in my room to sleep with me. I opened his door quietly, as i walked in, i noticed something. He wasnt there. I turned on his bedroom light and i walked around his room and i started feeling around his bed to make sure he wasnt hiding in there somewere. I suddenly heard a loud siren and a weather lady talking loudly. I heard it coming from the guest room Pattie was staying in. I quickly walked up to the door, knocked twice and walked in.

"Oh hey Alyssa." Pattie said looking a little nervous.

"Oh hey, i was Just looking for Caleb, cause its storming and he usually comes and sleeps with me during these." I said as i spotted Caleb in Patties arms.

"Mommy, grandma came and got me and told me to stay with her because there was a tornado coming." He said sounding a little scared.

"Oh, i came to get him. The tornado sirens went off and the weather lady and crew are all going crazy." pattie said.

"Someone please call my family, tell them to go in the basement." The weather lady said to people backstage on set.

"I think its getting bad.." Pattie said. Suddenly all the phones in the house started making a weird sound. It was an emergency alert. We had a tornado warning.

"Tornado warning in this area now til 4:00 am. Take shelter now. Check local media. -NWS." I read out loud from my phone screen as Pattie read hers silently in her head. (A/N: NWS stands for national weather service in case you were wondering.)

"I'm sorry i didnt wake you and Justin sooner, i just didnt think it was going to be this serious." She sighed in disapointment.

"No, no, no." I said while turing up the tv. "Its okay.. No time to worry about that now, lets gather important things and head to the basement." I said.
