Dan's POV
Idiot!
How could you leave your guard down like that!
He saw!
Granted, only a few, but he SAW!I paced around my room, wringing my hands and cracking my fingers.
A nervous habit.Realising what I was doing, I stopped moving and sat down, closing my eyes and focusing on my breathing.
I couldn't have a panic attack here.
Slowly, my heart beat slowed and my head stopped spinning.
Time for bed.
-----------------------
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes. I was fully dressed and the curtains were open.
My phone said 5am.
My head pounded and a fog like feeling descended on me.
I didn't take my tablets last night.
Slowly, I made my way into my bathroom and opened the cupboard to find the pack of pills. I swallowed two and returned to my bed, trying to get more sleep.
Of course, that plan was born to fail.
At 6am, I gave up on my quest for unconsciousness, and wandered out into the lounge. I switched the TV on and sat on the sofa, hugging my knees. I didn't care what was on, I just needed something to distract me until the antidepressants took effect.
"Dan?"
I looked up to see Phil in the doorway, rubbing his eyes.
"Dan, are you okay?"
My heart thumped. "Y-yeh? Why?"
"You're watching sports."
"Oh."
