We came together again my love
We saw you one last time
Struggled and prayed to make it through
We tried to say goodbye
You were lying so still
No smile on your face
No glow from your eyes
No final embrace
No words could take away the pain
Nothing else to be done
Nobody can bring you back to us
It's too late, you're already gone
Your smile and laughter will live on forever
Our memories will help us through
We only need to close our eyes
Just to remember you
You for the way you loved so hard
Those memories will never part
You for the caring things you did
You with that amazing heart
Our stories of you will always bring joy
Our love will always be true
Nothing can ever take away from that
Can never hinder our love for you
So broken are we yet again my dear
So torn beyond repair
We will never understand how it could be
Never get why life isn't fair
Gone for now but never forgotten
We will try and survive if able
Please save room for us in Heaven
As you watch over us with the angels
