Unrelenting Thoughts...12.14.14
Four months ago today, you went away,
These thoughts keep coming, wish you had stayed.
Holidays are here, first Christmas just cornering,
Happy thoughts are dreamt of, thinking instead we'll be mourning.
Everyone reminiscing, jolly, and smiling,
While we put on our smiles, I know our insides will be dying.
Want you here, want you now, want you always and forever,
Will keep dreaming and hoping while seeing you again never.
They say the holidays are rough, the first more than ever,
Your smile and laughter will hopefully leave never.
Going to try really hard to focus on the good,
Will try to make the best of it, not sure if we should.
Hoping your peace will shine down on us all,
Hoping we can all stand it, instead of the inevitable fall.
Love you always, forever, until we join again,
Praying your face will enlighten us all again.
