The Ride...4/26/14
My body hurts from head to toe, inside and out with an empty soul.
Cold and unfeeling, while emotional but smiling, if only you knew, you'd feel like dying.
I want to lash out, to throw things and shout, but what good would that do, you'll never figure it out.
It's become so overwhelming that every day is a blur, but as soon as you catch on, I'll make you detour.
Crying and screaming, anxious twitches and shakes, I've learned to appear better, so I guess now I'm fake.
Maybe not fake but a chameleon instead, because what you all see, is not what's in my head.
I have to keep going and putting on this show because for your benefit alone, you can never really know.By: Jennifer Golden
