You keep on giving while I keep on taking
You keep on building while I keep on breaking
You are so confident and I so confused
You are so beautiful and I am so bruised
You're always kind and gentle, always sweet and dear
I'm always so combative, constantly living in fear
You are trusting and honest and beautifully true
I am weak and little and dazed and confused
You are always so sure, confident and strong
I always leave you guessing what have I done wrong
You are amazingly kind, only deserving the best
I am not what you need, no better than the rest
