Chapter 40, Reunited (RPOV)

CHAPTER 40: REUNITED (RENESMEE'S POV)

"Ness" Alice shrilled in my ear "Nessie, wake up" I rolled over in bed and turned to look at her,  

"What?" I moaned,  

"Your Mom's back" she chimed "She's got Rose and Emmett to come home"  

"Hmm that's nice" I mumbled, not really taking in what she was saying.  

"Did you hear me?" she shrieked  

"Yes, Mom's home" I yawned, nestling my head back into the pillow.  

"No Ness. Rose and Emmett are on their way back they'll be here any minute!" She yelled in my ear  

"Wha- What?" I stuttered, hearing her correctly that time.  

"Rose and Em, they'll be here any second!" she grinned widely,  

"Really?" I asked, sitting bolt upright in bed, she nodded and I let out a huge scream of relief. I had missed my aunt and uncle so much. I hated my dad for what he'd done to them, and little henry, well, he was so perfect. I'd really missed them all.

Alice pulled me down the stairs at vampire speed and I ran into the living room to see my Mom and Dad sat on the sofa, deep in conversation.  

"Mom, are they really coming?" I yelled excitedly,  

"Yes baby, they'll be here any minute!"  

"Oh thank-you, thank-you!!" I screamed, wrapping my arms around her tightly. The happy tear's that had began rolling down my face a few moment's ago increased. I turned and ran back into the midst of the rest of the family who were waiting by the front door. Alice was jumping up and down excitedly, Jasper was, of course, trying to calm her down before he went into emotional overload,. Grandpa Carlisle was grinning from ear to ear and Nana Esme looked the happiest I had ever seen her.  

We all chatted amongst our selve's whilst we waited for them to arrive home. Alice told me that they were only coming to talk, which made me feel sad for a moment. But then I reasoned that if we could get them here long enough to talk, then we will be able to convince them to stay.

A minute or two later I heard the car's pull up outside, Alice began squealing in excitement beside me and I saw my Mom rush past us and out the front door. I waited impatiently by the door with the rest of my family, except for Dad, who was still sat on the couch. When the door flung open it was my uncle's arm's who were the first to greet me,  

"Hey Squirt!" he bellowed in my ear  

"Uncle Em!" I cried, tear's now running freely down my face. "I've missed you so much" I choked  

"I know squirt, I've missed you too" he sighed, rubbing his hand's up and down my back. I held onto my uncle for as long as possible before I let him set me back on my feet. I searched our small crowd for Rosalie. I spotted her behind Jasper, hugging Nana Esme, I ran over and wrapped my arm's around her waist, hugging her from behind.  

"Hi Nessie" she grinned turning around awkwardly to face me "Why are you crying?" she asked concerned  

"I just really missed you!" I choked again. I let go of her waist to allow her to turn around, and as she did so she lifted me up into her arm's, like she used to when I was a child.  

"I hear you're a big girl now?" she winked, causing me to blush.  

"Mom told you?" I hissed, embarrassed.
