CHAPTER 62: ROSALIE

We ran as fast as we could manage. Jake had told the rest of the pack to split up and search elsewhere. We needed people searching in as many different area's as possible and with 4 of us being in Seattle it seemed like we were wasting our resource's having them with us. We were a few minute's outside of Seattle when we had picked up Emmett's familiar scent.

As if the scent had spurred us on we somehow ran even faster. It was dark now so there wasn't much chance of anyone spotting us, not that they would at this speed.

We were only a mile away from the airport when someone finally broke the silence.

"Jacob, you need to phase back" Edward said, coming to an abrupt halt. Jacob's huge head shook fiercely back and forth "a giant wolf would draw too much attention here Jake" Edward sighed before adding; "I'm sorry" Jake walked over expectantly toward's Edward, and I watched as my husband pull a set of clothe's from the bag on his back into Jake's waiting and mouth and he slowly stalked off toward's the tree's. I knew Jake wouldn't want to change back, he'd feel uneasy not having the connection with the pack. We'd have no way of finding out if they had found anything.

When we had all eventually caught up with Emmett he had no new's for us, he'd been unable to find out anything.

"What now?" I hissed, feeling agitated by the lack of information.

"I don't know love," Edward sighed "We just have to keep looking. Hopefully Alice will have gotten  a hold of Zafrina by now and," 'The A,Team' theme tune started playing from Emmett's breast pocket "they will all be out helping, We just have to hope something come's up soon"

"Emmett will you answer that damn phone!" I spat

"Bella, love, calm down" Edward hushed, wrapping his arm's around my waist as Emmett muttered sorry. Instead I listened to his phone call, hoping whoever was ringing would have some new's for us.

"Rose!" Emmett exclaimed, answering the phone "Now is not a good time ba..." his word's were cut off. Through the receiver I could hear hissing and the shrill sound's of Henry crying. "ROSE?" Emmett yelled into the phone. Edward rushed to his side and pressed his finger to his lip's, taking the phone from Emmett's hand and pressing it to his ear. It wasn't necessary though, I was still able to hear the cries and snarling through the phone from this distance.

"Well" began an unfamiliar male voice through the phone "Isn't this a pleasant sight. A vampire and a human"

"Go to hell" hissed Rosalie's voice. Someone was threatening her and Henry, and there was no one around to protect them. Who was the man with her, and what did he want? I felt a sudden urge to be wherever Rosalie was. To help her and that innocent baby.
