Name: Liz Regis
Sex: Female
Age: 23
Physical Appearance: She is stern in all her edges, with features angular and sharp. Callouses pucker her fingertips from too many nights gripping at a pen, and ink stains can usually be spotted spattered across her hands. With brows often furrowed in concentration and an air of confidence emanating from her ever-precise posture, Liz can come off as intimidating at first. However, one quick glance at the eager quirk to her lips and the nails kept ragged and short (thanks to a certain distasteful habit) reveals that she's still got the heart of a child buried somewhere within her chest.
Personality: If the eyes are the window to a person's soul, then her soul is dark and full of mischief. Oftentimes, Liz can be found poking her nose in places it doesn't belong (this is partially due to her occupation as a freelance journalist, and partially due to the intense curiosity aching in her bones.) Ambition is what drives her soul - and she has plenty to spare, marked within the margins of shady newspapers and slipping through the static of her countless attempts at witness interviews. Despite her penchant for trouble, Liz is not as impulsive as one may presume, and she tends to err on the side of calculation and caution in many a situation. Logic ultimately backs her tales, and unlike many in the world, she wants to expose stories that are not just dramatic, but also factual. (Okay, fine, dramatic as well. It comes with the job description, after all.)
Background: Liz Regis was born to a businessman of a father, and a professor of a mother. Her father owned (still does, actually) a small company dealing with various whosits and whatsis, and thus wasn't around often while his children were growing up. Neither was her mother, for that matter. Because of this, Liz and her brother, John, were often left to their own devices. The two of them were close as children, but unfortunately drifted away after her brother - two years her elder - began learning the ropes of their father's business and ultimately started to tread the path of taking over as head of the company someday. She has another brother, ten years younger than herself, named Henry, and the two of them actually grew closer once Liz moved away to attend university (where she graduated with a well-earned degree in journalism.)
Henry, being a teenager, still lives with their parents, but Liz visits often to shower him with gruesome tales and articles that are only slightly exaggerated (really, very slightly, almost unnoticeable, truly). Currently, Liz lives alone in a small apartment that has maps and pages of journals stuck up on the walls like posters. There's almost always a documentary of some sort playing in the background, and though she isn't as well-off as she was when living with her parents, she can't complain too much about her situation.
Other: Her full name is Elizabeth, but only her parents call her that. And occasionally her best friend Collins, if he's annoyed enough.
