One month later...
(Y/n) remained crouched low to the ground, her shoulder against the wall as she listened in for any approaching footsteps. Slowly and without making as much noise as possible, she raised her head a bit to risk a peek over the window that was right above her head. Placing a hand on the dusty sill, she raised her head a bit further and peeked outside the dirty window.
Squinting into the distance, she tried to locate her target on all sides of the street but couldn't find him. Her exhales caused the dust on the sill to scatter and some of it to drift into her nose. She scrunched up her nose when she felt a sneeze come on and she quickly went back into position before she blew her cover. She tried to hold it in but it was proving too difficult so she slapped a hand over her mouth and sneezed.
Thanking the stars that it wasn't loud, she uncovered her mouth and went back to locating her target through the window. But just when she raised her head, her (e/c) eyes met with another pair of eyes and she quickly ducked her head down.
She clutched at her chest, where her pounding heart could be felt though and pressed her back against the wall. She turned her head left and right, seeing the same empty hallway stretch on both sides and decided that it was time to move. She couldn't let herself be caught. Not when she was the one who was going to infiltrate the main base.
"(Y/n), come in," a voice spoke through her intercom and she pressed her fingers to it.
"Talk to me, Uraraka," she responded in a low, careful voice while maintaining a cautious eye on both hallways.
"Are you in?"
"Positive. Target sighted and ready to advance," she said.
"Good. Proceed with caution," Uraraka said.
"Are you in? (Y/n)?" Tohru's voice came in.
"Yeah. Just about to make my move," she said. "You guys okay?"
The rest of her teammates sounded off, which also included Shouto, Tsuyu, Iida, and Tokoyami.
"The clock is ticking, (Y/n). Break a leg," Shouto, their team leader, said.
"Alright," the girl nodded.
Getting on all fours, she crawled away from the spot under the window before getting up into a crouch. Bending low to the ground, she ran towards the left where the exit was.
Once she got to the exit, she skidded to a stop and pressed her front against the wall adjacent to the door. She took in a deep breath before pressing her fingers to her com.
"Alright guys, I'm on the move."
Satisfied with their replies, she leaned her head to the side to peek outside the exit, she failed to locate anyone outside. Suddenly, a figure appeared through the periphery of her eye and she got back to hiding. The footsteps got louder and louder the nearer they got, in rhythm with the beating of her heart before it stopped altogether.
(Y/n)'s forehead creased. The person had stopped. Why...
Deciding to risk it all and take a confirmatory peek, she leaned to the side again and her eyes widened.
How did he-?! (Y/n) got out of her hiding spot and cautiously made her way outside. It was a stupid move, to reveal her hiding spot, exactly what her enemy wanted her to do but she had to confirm his whereabouts.
Her senses were heightened and her reflexes were peaking so if her enemy tried anything fucky, she'd be ready.
Squinting when the sun hit her eyes after being in the dark for quite a while, she looked around the area. It was clear, no sound.
