(Y/n) swiftly sliced a potato into quarters before gathering the pieces and dropping them in a water-filled pot next to her chopping board. She grabbed another unpeeled potato from another pot and performed her earlier action on it.

The girl was currently in the dorm's kitchen, preparing dinner for the rest of her classmates. Like the previous day, the day had ended well with no unwelcome affairs and she had completed her report, just in time for the weekend and her weekly duty to roll around. She didn't mind cooking. Though she would've preferred to be sleeping as she felt tired, it gave her something to do and keep her mind occupied at the very least.

A few meters away from her, she could hear several voices and background music coming from the television, accompanied by the occasional chuckling and unnecessary commentary from the students watching it. Judging from the distracted glances she had sent towards the flickering screen and the subtitles, they were watching a supernatural TV show.

Katsuki was among them, not that she cared or anything. And while she wondered how his friends had managed to convince him to stay there, she could tell that he wasn't watching as he was busy glaring down at his phone while furiously typing away. He was probably having a war with someone over text. That, or he was arguing with someone on the internet because that wouldn't even be remotely surprising considering how easily triggered he is.

Again, not that she cared or anything.

"Hey, (Y/n)?"

The girl paused her slicing and looked over her shoulder towards the orotund voice.

"Oh, hey," she smiled at the approaching boy.

"Here are the carrots you requested from the store," Sato placed a green paper bag on the counter and gave her a grin. "I was lucky enough to find some spring onions too so I got them for you."

(Y/n) downed her knife and wiped her hands on her apron. The bag crinkled loudly while she opened it to view its contents' quality and she took in a whiff of the vegetables' earthy smell. Nodding to herself, she smiled at him.

"Thanks, Sato. You're a lifesaver," she picked the bag up and carried it over to the sink. Placing a large pot under the tap, she tipped the bag over to pour the vegetables into the pot. "I honestly had no idea what I was gonna do after Kaminari used up all the carrots yesterday night."

"You're welcome," the male checked out the chopping board and submerged sliced potatoes. "So, what are you making for us today?"

"Nothing too complicated," tossing the bag aside, she turned the tap on to fill the pot. "Just nikujaga."

"Whoa," Sato rubbed his palms together, a hungry gleam in his eyes. "I'm sure it will taste delicious. You're one of the best cooks in our class so I can't wait for it to be ready."

"Awe," a touched smile crept up her face, "thank you. You know, I really can't wait for the next 'Sugar Time'," she heaved out a disappointed sigh. "I missed this week's since I went to sleep early. I was really looking forward to your cupcakes."

"Oh, yeah?" he folded his buff arms across his chest. "I can always make some for you anytime. All you have to do is ask."

"Really?" she asked as she turned the tap off.

"Yeah."

"You know, you should be careful with your words," she pointed at him while she headed back to her potatoes. "Otherwise, I might just use them against you one of these days."

Sato scoffed an amused laugh and opened his mouth to reply when his eyes fell on someone making their way towards them. His posture wavered and he clamped his mouth shut, his smile fading. Noting his sudden silence, (Y/n) shot him a confused look from over her shoulder and her brows furrowed upon seeing his unsettled look. She turned to look at what got him spooked, only to have her breath get caught in her throat and her heart to jolt in her ribcage.
