Teamwork? (Y/n) grimaced. Really? Of all the themes?

The words faded away to be replaced with others.

Your task is to survive long enough to reach the end. You have each been provided with a backpack containing; a rope, a compass, water bottles, a change of clothes and a timekeeper, use them wisely and moderately.

Her eyebrows squeezed together. What are we on, "Survivor"?

Find your way through to the finish line while defeating the predators of the jungle. Work hard but most importantly, work together. May the best school win.

And with that, the words together with the holographic panel disappeared.

She noted something on the periphery of her vision and she turned to the mentioned black backpack that was laid on the ground, next to her foot. Puzzled as to when it got there, she crouched down to zip it open.

She rummaged through it and confirmed the presence of a sisal rope, black waterproof coveralls, two water bottles, a ball compass, and the timekeeper. She fished out the ball compass, which looked like a small globe attached to a pin, and brushed her thumb over its smooth, plastic surface. Deeming it necessary to have it within her line of vision, she pinned it on her costume, right above her chest.

She then took out the timekeeper and wore it around her wrist. It was blue and looked like a standard digital watch even though the displayed time was frozen on 3:00:00. It was more like a stopwatch and wristwatch fused.

Beep

A shrill, high-pitched sound went off and (Y/n)'s forehead creased in confusion when the timer began counting down the seconds after the beep. Mr. Yoshioka had explained that the timer would start the countdown right after either of them took the first step. Which only meant...

She turned her head to see Katsuki walking ahead of her, his backpack hanging off of one shoulder.

A frown settled on her lips. He could've just said something at the very least, not walk off on his own.

Rolling her eyes with a scoff, she zipped up her bag and slung its straps over her shoulders. The bag carried a significant weight due to the rope, but it was manageable. She then straightened up and looked back at Katsuki. Her grip around the straps tightened. She could feel the energy and willpower she had stored for this exercise already being sapped away.

Leaning her head back, she blew out her cheeks. What she wouldn't give to be in another room with someone who wasn't Katsuki.

She covered her face with her hands and closed her eyes. After a moment or two of her giving herself a much-needed pep-talk, her hands slid down to the lower half of her face and she opened her eyes. She stared at the canopy of leaves that formed an umbrella formation above her. A monkey screeched from a distance and the loud caws of birds sounded from every direction, as if giving her encouraging her to go on.

She released a hefty sigh and lowered her head. Her eyes fell on Katsuki's back and her hands dropped back to her sides.

Well. She licked her lips. Here goes nothing.

"Hey, uh...Bakugou?" she weakly called out, finally breaking the palpable silence. Her heart was doing flips, anxious as to how he would react. "Are you...sure that's the right way?"

Katsuki stopped, with one gloved hand holding onto a branch he was about to push out of the way, and he looked at her over his shoulder. "So now you're talking to me?"
