The clear-cut slamming of locker doors, people talking and water running from the showers and sinks blended with the stuffy ambiance of the changing room as the girls of class 1-A dressed themselves to attend their last lesson before lunch: P.E.
In a mood ever since crossing paths with Katsuki in the library and being called a ceramic bitch, (Y/n) had decided to keep to herself while she changed and didn't bother speaking to anyone. Sensing her temperamental aura, in return, the other girls gave her space, even chatterbox Mina. Which instead of satisfying her, on the contrary, dampened her mood more because, logic.
So, pretending like she wasn't repeatedly trying to convince herself not to yank her locker door off its hinges and beat everyone in the room with it, she hummed a tune to herself while she pulled down her vest over her chest and fitted the hem around her waist. Taking out her P.E jacket from her locker, she put it on and zipped it up. She then began ruffling up her hair and spared a glance at her reflection in the little mirror that was hung on the inside of her locker door.
"Hey, do you think my jacket looks a little bit smaller?"
Her eyes slid to the reflections of the two girls standing behind her from across the room as she combed her hand through her hair.
"Um," Yaoyorozu paused to take a good look at the other girl. "No? Not really..."
"Oh," Uraraka looked down at her jacket's front and patted her ample chest. "It feels kinda...tighter than it usually is."
The loud bang of a locker door being slammed shut caused the two girls to jolt and turn towards (Y/n) with questioning looks. The girl made eye contact with them before shrugging in a silent 'what?'. Not waiting for a response, she took a seat on the bench next to her locker and bent down to tie her shoelaces.
While she was tying her last shoe, a figure appeared in the corner of her eye and came to sit next to her. She shot a brief look at the person over her shoulder before going back to finish tying her lace.
"Hey... Are you okay?" Uraraka hesitantly asked, her voice laced in concern.
"Not now, Uraraka," (Y/n) tugged a little bit too roughly at one of the laces, a frown prominent on her lips. "I'm having a no good, very bad day."
"Uh, I-I know but..." a sigh. "I just can't help but ask..."
(Y/n) rolled her eyes at her vexing persistence before sitting up. Huffing out a resigned exhale, she turned to the brunette. "Okay, fine. What's up?"
Uraraka slightly shook her head.
"Not much. It's just that, er..." she paused and pressed her lips together. Releasing them with a smacking sound, she continued. "Todoroki told us that you two ran into some trouble with Bakugou at the library which got you a scolding from the librarian," upon noticing (Y/n)'s frown deepen, she quickly corrected herself, "I-It's not that he was talking about you or anything. He just uh, mentioned that he was with you when it happened...Plus you haven't been in a good mood so..."
The (h/c)-haired female clicked her tongue and briefly tore her gaze away from her to glare at the metal doors in front of her. "It wasn't a big deal. Just Bakugou being Bakugou," she gave a half-shrug. "Nothing unusual."
Uraraka nodded unsurely and looked down at her hands on her lap. She bit the inside of her cheek and began playing with her left pinky. Figuring what to say next to dispel the odd silence between them, she lifted her head and opened her mouth to speak but (Y/n) beat her to it.
"So, what about you? Are you okay today?"
The brunette snapped her mouth shut, a bit surprised by her out of the blue question and simply nodded. A second later, she added. "It's just that..."
