"Sweetie you don't have to do that"

"Yes I do mom"

I put on my contacts as my mom sighed and walked out the door. She neer saw why I did it, but I liked the contacts better. It made me feel normal. I put on my blue jeans and purple loose tee with an undershirt. I grabbed my converse and bookbag before heading into the living room.

"You look good"

"Shut up Adam"

"Your brother is right sweetie"

I rolled my eyes and sat at the counter scrolling down my phone. We didn't leave till later but Adam was such a jerk and always woke me up wayy to earlier. Stephanie messaged me and I laughed.

"What's so funny? Ohh you're talking to that hot friend of yours"

I pushed Adam away and continued to text her back.

"You're too old for her. Plus she don't even like you"

Adam always liked to crush on my friends because he claims that most girls at his school aren't cute or taken. I always rolled my eyes at him before going back to whatever it was I was doing. Adam was, is, and will always be such a pain in the butt. I just wanted to punch him in the face with my heels.

I finally made it to school and met up with my friends. I was glad it wasn't raining or my make-up would be totally ruined and I didn't feel like redoing it at all. All my friends looked good for the first day back to school. We walked down the hall side by side as a group, always. Stephanie gave googley eyes at her crush, Lane. Mariana held hands with her boyfriend, Mark, and laughed a lot with him. Jack came up from behind me and hugged me.

"I've missed you so much over the summer"

"I've missed you too"

Mariana and Stephanie smiled and said "aww" before continuing their day. The school day seemed forever but also seemed to go by so quickly at the same time. Everyone complimented me on how I looked and asked about where I got some of my stuff. I got some pretty neat teachers and most importantly, they seem nice. Lunch was normal. Terrible food and a loud cafeteria. I was glad to finally be on the bus heading home.

The bus was super noisy and kids were throwing paper balls around. I sighed, sunk down in the seat, and rolled my eyes. This was going to be a long bus ride. I got out my phone and saw I had a message.

*Omg Lane talked to me today!!! ^.^*

*Ha that's great!*

*I know right!! I'm so happy!!*

*Maybe he'll ask you out one day ;)*

*Haha maybe. Seems like we're getting there ;)*

I laughed as I grabbed my bookbag and headed up the driveway. I unlocked the door and walked in. There was boxes everywhere. I was stunned at everything I saw. The picture frames on the wall were taken down and all that remained was holes in the wall from the nails. Items from tables and shelves were gone. The house looked empty as I walked to my room and put down my stuff. I walked back into the living room.

"Mom?! Did Nationwide take all our old stuff and gave us boxes with new stuff in it?!"

My mom walked out from the bedroom and laughed. She carried a smaller box and set it on one of the big boxes.

"No. We're moving"

...

"You're moving?!"

I slammed my locker shut and turned to my two besties.

"Yes. It's terrible!"

"Yes it is!! You can't leave us Kyla!!!"

"Apparently I can"

"Have you told Jack yet?"

"Nope"

"Tell me what?"

I turned around to see Jack smiling as me. I kinda smiled, but then remembered I was moving away. He noticed and the smile faded.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm moving"

"You won't be going to school here anymore?"

"Nope"

He hugged me really tight, and I was taken back for a second before hugging him back. I wanted to cry. I'd be leaving my best friends, other friends, and Jack... A long distance relationship will never work! But how am I going to tell him that? How am I going to do this? I pulled away and Jack gave me a confused look.

...

"Honey! Help me unpack!!"

I groaned and went into the kitchen. I was in the upstairs room. My room had a window seat and the walls were my favorite color, pink. I had most of my thing unpacked, just not put where they were supposed to be. Most of my furniture was already in my room, but I have to wait till my dad gets the rest unloaded. My mom was setting out kitchen utensils, pots, pans, machines, and just about everything else you would need. I didn't think all of it would fit in the cabinets or entire kitchen.

"I was trying to unpack too"

"Well after you help me you can go back to unpacking then go outside and find some friends"

I groaned as I grabbed some forks and headed to a drawer. I placed everything like they were at our old house. I was also texting Stephanie and Mariana while unpacking but if my mom knew she'd have a hissy fit. My dad and our neighbor walked in with my brothers desk and went upstairs. Adam tagged along carrying his xbox and games in a box. I could tell from all the wires hanging out of the box.

"Why did we move here?"

"Because it is a really great place, plus the queen is super nice"

"We have to live under the orders of a queen?!"

"Sorta. It's not like her orders are terrible. Probably better than all the other queens that have lived on the earth"

I groaned as I set up the microwave. My dad and the neighbor walked out with an Adam tagging along, most likely to get something of his again. They put my stuff on hold because Adam couldn't wait to get his room fixed up. I rolled my eyes at the thought and continued on to the next thing to put away.

I finally got somewhat done helping my mother and hurried back to my bedroom to finish up. My dad and our neighbor finally got everything unloaded and where it was supposed to be. The sun started to set as I opened another box. I yawned as I felt my phone vibrate. I grabbed it and looked at the message.

*Goodnight?*

*It's not totally night here, but goodnight*

*Ha sorry!*

*It's ok*

Jack wasn't the first to know where I was moving but he was trying to figure out the time zone and what time it would be here. I find it very cute he actually done that, well is trying to. I threw my phone onto my bed and carefully placed the glass items onto the floor. I was going to be here for a while.
