Lari's Point of View~
The wolf was big and grey. It had crystal blue eyes. I was trembling with fear, but I couldn't move or scream. And slowly the wolf made it's way closer to me. My breathing picked up and I put my arms up to try and defend myself. But before I even knew it, the wolf nudged it's head gently at my left leg. I looked down at it and saw the wolf sitting there, looking into my eyes. I slowly put my arms down and knelt down to it. The wolf tilted it's head like it was trying to say 'hello'. "Hi there, I'm Lari. And who are you?" I said as if the wolf were an actual person. It barked and got in a playful position. "Heh, you're a real enthusiast, aren't you?" I said as I watched the wolf run around me. Then it came back to my side and licked my face as I was its owner. "Hey, stop that tickles!" I said as I laughed. And for the first time in what seemed like forever, I felt happy. I got up and continued walking. The wolf joined me as well. We walked till we reached the small waterfall. I sat on a large rock and stared at the falling water. The wolf laid down by my side. I sighed and looked down. The wolf raised it's head and placed its paw next to my foot like it was asking, 'What's wrong?'. "Have you felt like you're just not good enough for someone? And you tried to prove that you could do it, but you just couldn't? And you wish you knew what they expect?" I asked the wolf. There was no response. "I wouldn't think that you had this problem. I think you proved that you were worthy of being in a pack. While me on the other hand, I'm still trying to prove that this is just who I am to kids at school. And that I'm worthy of being the ninjas' son. But I can't be like those kids, I'm just me and that's all I can be." I said to the wolf. The wolf leaned it's head against my shoulder to try and cheer me up.

"It seems the more we talk, the less I have to say. Let's put our differences aside. I wanted to make you proud, but I just got in your way. I found a place that I can hide. Now everything is changing, but I still feel the same. We're running out of time. What do I have to do? To try and make you see that this is who I am. And it's all that I can be. I tried to find myself, looking inside your eyes. You were all that I wanted to be. There must be something else, behind all the lies that you wanted me to believe. Now everyone is saying that I should find a way to leave it all behind. What do I have to do? To try and make you see that this is who I am. And it's all that I can be. What do I have to do? To try and make you see. Trying to be like you, isn't good enough for me. I won't let you go. I won't let you down. I won't give you up. Don't you give up on me now. What do I have to do? To try and make you see that this is who I am. And it's all that I can be. What do I have to do? To try to and make you see. Trying to be like you, isn't good enough for me. What do I have to do? To try and make you see." I lowered my head into my knees and let out a shaky breath. The wolf pushed it's head over to my side and grumbled. I raised my head and stared into its blue eyes. I didn't say anything. I looked up at the sky and saw that it was getting kinda late. I stood up began to walk back home. The wolf also followed me back. "I'm not sure if you can stay with me because I don't think my dads would want a wolf at the house. But we can still be friends okay." I told it. The wolf barked and continued to walk. As we were walking, I heard a growling noise from behind me. "Huh? What was that?" I asked. The growling got louder and I began to get worried. Then, a mountain lion pounced from the bushes and landed right in front of me. It roared and hissed. "G-good kitty," I said putting my arms out and backing away. The mountain lion swatted it's claw-filled paw out at me, but I dodged its grasp. I ran in the other direction and I could feel the lion keeping up with me. I tried to use my wind on it, but every time I pushed it further back, it came speeding up to my pace. Then, I saw a tree that I would be able to climb onto, so that's what I did. I climbed up the tree and the lion circled around it, waiting for me to come down. Then right out of the bloom, the wolf attacked the lion, batting at its face. The lion bared its teeth and hissed. It pounced onto the wolf, holding it's paw up high to deliver a strike. But the wolf bit it's arm and clawed its side. The lion roared and ran off deep into the woods. After it was gone, I climbed back down to the ground and thanked the wolf for saving my life. "Goodbye, and I hope that we'll see each other again soon," I said to the wolf. It barked and licked my face one last time before running off. I quickly ran back home and went inside. I was greeted with a hug from my dads and was in time for dinner.
