Akidah's Point of View~
It's been two days since that brawl with April and Jonathan, and things here at home have been fine lately, but our parents were still up on the edge about their conversation with the other parents. The contest was in one week, and Mia had to move out. I don't know where she's living now, but I hope she and her family are okay. Right now, I was reading one of my favorite books that dad got me a couple of weeks ago, 'Dark Shadows'. It was about a vampire falling in love with a woman who could see ghosts and spirits. There's also a witch that can put curses on people. "How's the book so far?" My dad asked he walked in. I sat up and placed a mark on my page. "It's great! I love it!" I said. "Heh, good. I'm glad you like it." Dad said as he say next to me. "Thank you so much for getting it for me!" I said as I hugged him. "You're welcome, Akidah," He responded with a hug as well. "You wanna know what it's about?" I asked. "Sure, that'd be great," Dad said. I began to tell him about the story when Lloyd began calling dad from the living room. "What is it, Lloyd?!" Dad called back. Lloyd came to the room, holding the phone. "It's the police department, they want us to check out something. It's pretty serious," Lloyd said. Dad looked at me and said, "I better go see what this is, sorry, Akidah." I only smiled and said, "It's okay, dad, being a ninja means responsibility and honor. Go on ahead and see what's up. I can wait until you come back." Dad smiled and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into a side hug. He got up and left the room. And then, Sker walked in. "What's going on with dad and Lloyd?" He asked. "Another mission. The police wanted them for something serious," I told my brother. "Oh," Sker sighed. "What are you and the others doing?" I asked. "Playing some video games, but I got kinda bored," Sker said. "Okay," I said. "I wonder how Mia's doing, I mean, she got evicted yesterday. I hope she's okay," Sker said. "Yeah, me too," I said. We stayed in the room and talked a bit before going into the living room and hung out with the others. "Your mother should be home in about two hours, but if you guys get hungry, you can make yourself a small meal. I don't know how long we'll be out for," Dad said as he and Lloyd were walking out. "Okay, bye," May said. Then, they left. "What now?" Kabaz asked. "Let's just watch some tv," Lari said. And that's what we did.

Lloyd's Point of View~
Kai and I had to meet the police Commissioner near the hiking trails. That was nearly on the other side of Ninjago. We summoned our dragons and took off. After about 45 minutes of flying, we finally made it to the trails. There were police officers, police dogs, paramedics with gurneys, and even the news station were everywhere. "Lloyd! Kai!" The Commissioner called. He came to us with a worried expression on his face. "Commissioner, what's going on? What happened?" Kai asked. "It's horrible, a team of eight hikers were found dead," He said. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. "Dead?! Eight hikers?!" Kai exclaimed. The Commissioner nodded and began to lead us to the scene. "What happened? Do you know who killed them? Do you have any suspects?" I asked. I had so many questions, knowing that some of them wouldn't probably have an answer. "We do have two suspects, Jaccob and Alexander McCorbyn. Those two men were the ones that found them as they were doing some jogging," The Commissioner said. When we arrived at the scene, it was horrific. Eight people had white sheets placed over their bodies, blood staining the area of where their throats were. The bodies were being placed onto gurneys and police officers and dogs searched the area. News reporter, Gayle Gossip was also at the scene, documenting what had happened. "Their throats had been either torn out or severely punctured," The Commissioner told us. "Oh my God," Kai said under his breath. "Where are the McCorbyns?" I asked. "In handcuffs nearby. I'll take you to them to ask questions," The Commissioner said. Kai and I were taken to the police car where the McCorbyns were. They weren't in the car, just leaning against it. "Are you two the McCorbyns?" I asked. "Yeah." The one with a black sports jacket answered. "You two can talk with them for a bit before their testimony." The Commissioner told us. "Okay." Kai said. I turned to the two boys and they seemed to have mixed emotions. "We didn't do it." One of them said. "Before that, which of you is which?" Kai asked. "The one with the black jacket is Alexander, and I'm Jacob." The one with the red jacket said. "Okay. Now, tell us what happened." I said. "I swear to you that this is true, we didn't kill them. We're just two boys in college, hoping to be professional basketball players." Jacob said. "I didn't ask that, I asked what happened. What were you two doing at the scene?" I told the two boys. "We were doing our afternoon jog in the trails when Alexander tripped on something. I went back to him and saw a foot sticking out from a pile of leaves and dirt. I was curious what it was and I thought it was someone that needed help, so, I went over and checked the scene. I noticed there were more piles and I saw some clothing sticking out. I removed the dirt and leaves off the person, revealing that his throat was ripped out and there was blood everywhere. I told Alexander to call 911 and I checked if the other people were okay, only finding them looking like the first guy I had found, dead. I can't handle being here, in handcuffs. This isn't what I wanted!" Jacob explained in an anxious tone, then began to freak out. "It's okay, it's okay. I see, you two were just trying to help." I said, trying to calm Jacob down. "I guess it is like what they say, if you find murdered people, you're the first to be suspected by the police and people who've about it." Alexander said. We both stayed at the crime scene for a couple of hours, asking questions and looking for any sign of a weapon or another murderer, but nothing was discovered. It was almost 9:00 and it was dark. "Thank you for your time here ninja. But it seems like there's nothing else here. You can go back home now if you'd like." The Commissioner said to us. "Oh, okay Commissioner. And, if I may ask, what's going to happen to the McCorbyns?" I asked. "They're going to have to be taken into court tomorrow." The Commissioner said as he let out a sigh. "It's a shame, so many innocent lives being taken away like that." I said. Kai wrapped his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder. "It is." The Commissioner said. After a while of discussing some things with the Commissioner, Kai and I both went home. It was 9:45 when we arrived, and the kids were still up in the living room in their night-wear. "Hey, guys." Kai said as we walked in. "Hey." Kabaz said. "Is Skylor home?" Kai asked. "No, she called earlier and said she had to stay over for a while. She said she'll be home around 10:15-10:30." Sker said. "Oh, okay." Kai said.

Kai's Point of View~
"We also saw what happened on the news, the murders," Akidah said. "Oh, yeah, it's a shame we didn't find any weapons that might have been used or if someone else committed them," I said. "Do you think that they did it, dad? Cause, I don't." Akidah asked me. I honestly wasn't sure if to believe if they did or didn't do it. "I...I don't really know. I mean, they could've done it, or they didn't." I said. "Oh." She said. It had been about an hour since we came home, and it was almost 11:00, and Skylor still wasn't home yet. "I wonder where mom is," Sker said. "She should've been home by now," May said. "She'll probably be here soon," Lloyd said. A few minutes passed by and the kids had already gone into their rooms and Lloyd and I were on the couch, watching tv, when there was screaming coming from outside. The person was screaming my name in a very recognizable voice, it was Skylor's voice. "Skylor?!" I questioned frantically and getting up from the couch. Her screams continued and I rushed out the front door. Skylor ran right into my arms and I wrapped my own around her shaking body. "Skylor! what happened to you?!" I asked her as I looked down at her. Skylor's nose was bleeding, she had two gashes on her face, and her lip was busted. I helped her inside and sat her on a chair. Lloyd quickly grabbed paper towels for her bleeding and I tried to calm her down. "It's okay Skylor, you're safe. Tell me, what happened, who did this to you?" I said to her in a calm tone. She was still shaken up after what happened, but managed to calm down enough to tell us. "I...I was on m-my way home, wh-when I saw a boy, about Sker's age. A-and he looked like he needed h-help. I asked him what was wr-wrong, and he turned around and grabbed my n-neck. He...he was attacking me, so I tr-tried to fight back, but he seemed, almost inhuman. I felt him bite, but I fought back, and that's when he did th-this to me." Skylor explained as she sobbed. "Did you see his face at all?" I asked. Skylor shook her head no and continued to cry. I hugged her and repeatedly told her that everything was going to be okay. I rubbed her back and kissed her forehead while Lloyd attended to her wounds. And whoever did this, was not going to get away with it, not if I have anything to say about it.
