Narration~
The rest of the week passed by in the blink of an eye and soon enough, the autumn/early winter break came. The students got to have a week off from school and have a break from the pre-post exams for the accelerated students. And now that he had more of an opportunity, Lari was able to train more and he thought that maybe he would be able to fulfill that longing goal that he's been aiming for, to unlock his true potential and elemental dragon. Today was the first day of the break after the weekend and all seemed to be going fine, but today, something dreadful was going to happen and would have a major impact on Lari.Lari's Point of View~
Now that it was the break, I had more time to train to unlock my true potential and elemental dragon that I've been trying so hard to do for so long. It was close to 4:30, and I decided to go out to the training course to practice. Skylor and Sker went out to the noodle house, so it was just me, Kabaz, May, Akidah, and my dads that were home. I was walking to the front door when dad, Lloyd, called me into the kitchen. "Yeah, dad? You called?" I asked as I poked my head in the entry of the kitchen. "Yeah, I was just wondering if you'd like to do anything later or tonight since it is your break from school." He said. There wasn't much of anything that I actually wanted to do, all I wanted was to succeed in unlocking my true potential. "Um, I don't know. Maybe ask the others, I bet they'll have something in mind that we could do." I responded. "Well, okay. If that's fine with you." He said. I nodded and put my shoes on and walked out the door to the course. I began to stretch out and then proceeded to train. About half an hour later, dad called all us inside for something. I stopped what I was doing and went inside. "You called dad?" I asked as I took my shoes off. "Yeah, I asked your siblings if they had anything in mind that they wanted to do." He said. "What did they say?" I asked. "Come to the living room, I'll tell everyone there," Dad responded as he went to the couch. We all sat down and dad said, "Okay, now that everyone's here, I'd like to say that we came up with what maybe we could do tonight." The room was quiet for a moment before Kabaz asked, "What is it, dad?" Dad smiled his kind smiled. "We're gonna go to the ice-skating rink when Skylor and your brother come home from the noodle house at 6:00." He said enthusiastically. "Wow! Ice-skating sounds great! And it is getting close to the winter season too." Said Akidah. I've been ice-skating before years ago and I really liked it, so I was excited really about tonight. I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was 5:16. "They should be coming back in about 44 minutes or so," I said. Dad nodded and then everyone stood up and went back to what they were doing. I thought I would give myself a break from training because I didn't want to push myself too hard again. So instead, I decided to play some video games with Kabaz in our room.{Time Skip~}
"We're home!" I heard Sker's voice shout from the entranceway of the front door. "We're in here!" Kabaz shouted back. Sker walked in and sat down on the floor. "Who's gonna go next after you two?" He asked. Right now, it was Kabaz against May and it seemed like May was winning. "You can if you want Sker," Akidah said. "Okay, thanks, sis." Said Sker. Akidah smiled and turned back towards the tv. About 15 minutes later, our parents called and said it was time to get going. We shut off the game console and went out the door. We piled into the car and drove off to the rink. Soon, we arrived at the rink and signed up for skate rental. "Hi, Lari!" I heard a familiar voice call from the distance. I turned my head around and saw Sonia waving at me. I waved back and said, "Hi Sonia." She walked up to me, holding her skates by the laces. "I didn't know that you were going to be here Sonia," I said. "Heh, guess that goes the same for me." She responded. We talked for a moment before my brother called me to grab my skates. "See you on the ice Lari," Sonia said as she went back to her bench. "See you," I replied. I went over to where my family was and put my skates on. "You're not gonna skate dad?" Sker asked Kai. "Nah, I've never been good at skating, even if it were roller-skating or ice-skating. I'll just watch you from the outside." He responded with a chuckle. When we finished putting on our skates, we went out to the actual rink and there were a lot of people skating around, doing figure 8's and other neat tricks. "Wow, look at all those people," I said under my breath. "Hey, Lari!" Shouted Sonia who was already skating around. "Hi, Sonia!" I called back to her. "You guys go on ahead and skate, we'll be there in a couple of minutes." Said Skylor. "Okay mom," Akidah said as she took a few steps to the ice. Then soon enough, we were all gliding around on the ice like in the old cartoon. It was a blast!
