May's Point of View~
We finally made it back to the factory and Kabaz placed Sker on one of the mattresses. He looked completely lifeless. His skin was pale and the only color that was seen was the purple from his veins. Right now, we were all staring at Sker and trying to figure out what happened to him. "So you said that to he was unresponsive when you called him, Kabaz?" Sonia asked. "Yeah, then he turned around and he had an orb of their power in his hand. But he looked terrified, like eyes wide open and a quivering mouth. And his eyes were purple instead of green. After that, he just collapsed. Then we all saw his veins stick out and they were purple too." Kabaz explained. I thought about everything Kabaz said and what the Overlord and Haru's powers were capable of. I mean, they are made out of pure evil, so that would be a dangerous amount and limit it could do on someone who wasn't like them. After a moment of thinking, I came to a horrible realization. "Poisoned," I said softly. Everyone looked at me with a confused look. "'Poisoned'? What do you mean?" Lari asked. "Sker's...been poisoned by their power," I said. "What?!" Everyone exclaimed. "It's true. Just think about it, Haru and the Overlord are beings of pure evil with great power that they can possess. And Sker is just a human with elemental abilities, so his body couldn't handle the amount of power that was within him and that power must've poisoned him." I explained. "So, he's...he's...dying?" Kano asked sorrowly. Akidah gasped once she heard that. "I really hate to say it, but yes," I said. Everyone looked dreadful. "How do we save him?!" Sonia asked frantically. "I'd assume that we would have somehow found a way to remove Haru's power from his body before it's too late. And I'm willing to bet that putting an end to Overlord and Haru is the only way of doing that." I said. "But the only way to stop them is with the Golden Power, so that means..." Lari began to say before I cut him off and said, "I'm the only one who can be able to possess that power. Which also means that I'm the only one who can stop them, on my own." That's when Kabaz responded with, "Wait, May! You're not thinking of going back there by yourself, are you?!" I looked at him and said, "Of course not. I'm only going to confront them on my own while you guys free our parents." Kabaz's eyes widened. "Wh-what are you talking about, May?" Akidah asked, her voice trembling. "What I mean is that I need you three to come along with me and get our parents out of those chains and get them out of the building while I take the Overlord and Haru head-on," I explained as I pointed to each Kabaz, Akidah, and Lari. "And the three of us stay back to watch over Sker along with the fact that we don't have elemental powers, right?" Mia asked. I raised an eyebrow in astonishment that she knew exactly what I was thinking. I turned around and was now facing her. "Yeah, exactly. I'm shocked by the fact that you knew what I had in mind. But I didn't want you guys to be offended by it." I said. "We're not at all offended. We completely understand." Sonia said. "Yeah, besides, it'd be better to have a couple of people watching over. I mean, who knows what could possibly happen?" Kano added. "We also know that there are some battles that we can't fight in and this is one of them. We know that you're doing so we won't get hurt or killed out there. And we thank you for that." Mia said. Then, I felt a hand grab my wrist and turn me around, and I was now in front of Lari. "But, May! That's two on one! And you saw how powerful they were! You can't possibly face them alone!" Lari said. "Lari, I know you're worried about me, but I have no other choice. If I don't do this, then all of Ninjago will fall under the hands of evil and we will die." I told him. "But, but...! " Lari began to say, but I cut him off. "Lari, I promise I will be okay. I know what I have to do to stop them. But I need you and the others to set our parents free." I assured him. "You...you promise you'll be okay?" Lari asked. "I swear," I said. He smiled at me and hugged me. I smiled and hugged him back. "Okay, so when do you plan on doing this?" Mia asked. "I don't know how long Sker's body can last, so I plan on going back there tonight," I said. "Okay, but for now, let's try to get some rest, especially you four since you're the ones who's going back there," Mia said. We all nodded and rested on the remaining mattresses that were able to still be used.
