May's Point of View~
Today was the day, the day of the Borg Theater Singing Contest. Akidah and I went to the theater early so we could practice. Mr. Borg even let people change their original choice of song if they wanted, and Akidah suggested a different song she said would "be more of an inspiration" than our original song. I agreed with her and our family wished us good luck and said they'd come with Sonia and Mia when the show was going to start later tonight. But something seemed wrong with my sister. She looked like her arm was hurting, but whenever I asked her about it, she said she was fine. When we arrived at the theater, we finalized our new song and went into another room to practice. "So, I wrote down the parts where we'll each sing on our own and then together in unison. You can look over it if you want." Akidah said as she handed me a sheet of paper. I looked over it and nodded back at her. "I like it. I think you're right, it is more of an inspiration and is bound to beat April and Jonathan. Now, let's try it out." I said. "Okay." Akidah said. I got out my phone and loaded the song and we began to rehearse. After the first couple of tries with the vocals, we were slowly beginning to get the hand of which part of the song was ours. "Do you wanna try and do no vocals and sing it ourselves? Or do you wanna continue using the vocals until we have the lyrics down?" I asked. "Um, maybe a few more times with the vocals and then move onto no vocals." Akidah replied. "All right, that can work." I said with a smile on my face. Akidah also smiled and nodded, signaling me to play the song. And I did. We continued to sing along to the vocals a few more times before lunch and Borg allowed us to either have the option stay at the theatre for lunch or go out and be back before the show. Akidah and I chose to go out with our friends and our brothers to the noodle house. "So, how's your rehearsal going?" Asked Sonia. "It's going fine. I think we have a chance at winning this thing." I said. "Yeah!" Akidah exclaimed. "I know you guys are gonna win!" Lari said. "Thanks." Akidah said. "Don't count on it losers!" A voice shouted at us from down the street. "Ugh, April." Kabaz groaned. "You guys are so gonna lose tonight." April said. "Talk all you want April. Who knows? Someone else might even beat both of us." I said. April scoffed and then walked away. We went into the noodle house and saw Sker and his mom. "Hey guys, I didn't know you were coming." Sker said. "Hey Sker, how are you feeling? I heard you were sick yesterday." Sonia said. "Heh, I'm feeling much better. No migraines or nausea." Sker responded. "And we're here for lunch. Borg let us go out. And we decided to come here." I said. "Okay, what would you guys like to have?" Skylor asked as she came to us from the kitchen. "Could I have the 'Pop sticker Plate' please?" Sonia asked. "Sure thing!" Skylor said. Soon, the rest of us ordered our meals and ate. We talked and laughed. After lunch, Akidah and I went back to the theater to continue our practice rehearsing. "Good luck you two! We'll see you later tonight." Skylor said. "Thanks, mom! See you all soon!" Akidah called back. We walked back to the theater and passed by the stand with many different outfits for the contestants to wear when it's time to perform. "Hey Akidah, do you think we should choose an outfit to wear later?" I asked. "Oh yeah! That'd be great! Let's see what we have to wear." Akidah said cheerfully as she walked over to the rack of clothes. "Let's see what we've got here. Oh! I love this one!" Akidah exclaimed as she picked an outfit. It was a white dress with a pink vest and pink wrist wear. There was also a pink bow she could put in her hair. "That looks good, it suits you." I said. "Thanks! I bet yours will look amazing!" Akidah responded. I searched through the plethora of clothing until I found one I liked. "This one looks good. Ilike the color and style." I said. "Ooh! I love it! It'll look great on you May!" Akidah exclaimed. "Heh, thanks." I said. Once we got our outfits, we went back to practice.

Akidah's Point of View~
My arm was still tender and hurt to touch, but I tried to not think about it and let it get in my way. May and I had gotten dressed and we went over our parts of the song we were supposed to sing. "Man, I'm so nervous right now! My heart's beating so fast!" I said. "Hey, relax, take deep breaths in and out. Everything's gonna be okay." May reassured me. I took deep breaths and I calmed down a bit. "There, all better. Now, c'mon, let's go say hi to everyone before the show starts." May said. I nodded and we went off to find everyone. We walked to the main entrance of the theater and saw our family and friends going to their seats. The boys were in their suits and mom was in a dress that went down to her ankles. "Hey, Mom! Hey dad!" I shouted to them as I waved. They waved back to us and gestured their hands, telling us to come over to them. We walked off the stage and over to the others. Everyone greeted us with hugs and showered us with compliments. "I'm so proud of you two! I know you can do it!" Mom said. "Thanks! And we couldn't have done it without your support from all of you." May said. We all talked for a while before Mr. Borg called the contestants up on stage. We said our last words and walked up on the stage. We stood in front of the whole theater and it felt a little anxiety-inducing, but I didn't let it bother me. "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the Ninjago Singing Competition! I'm so glad you all came out to support our contestants!" Mr. Borg announced. The audience clapped their hands and cheered. "Now, here are our contestants! First we have, Samantha Briggs, Jonah Morrison, Anthony Brown, April Corduroy, Jonathan Williams, Akidah Smith, May Garmadon, Jayden Lee, Matt Woods, Lucy James, Vincent Peterson, and Regan Adams. Give them a round of applause!" Borg shouted. The whole theater erupted in cheering and applause. "Now, without further ado, let's begin the competition with our first performer, Samantha Briggs!" Borg shouted. The audience clapped as everyone else cleared the stage.
