May's Point of View~
Mia was coming over in about half an hour so, we were cleaning up the house a bit before she came over. I gave her our address before her bus was dismissed and she said that she would come over around 5:30 and now, it was 5:00. "So, what's Mia like?" Asked my dad, Lloyd. We were washing dishes and silverware for later at dinner. "She came from Stixx and is very focused on what she does. She also trained in martial arts and combat classes like us. She's working on a goal that she and her grandmother had together." I told him. "Oh, that's nice. And what goal did Mia and her grandmother have if I may ask?" He responded. "To make Ninjago a better place to live. You know, since after all the past events that occurred." I said. "Wow, that sounds like a pretty tough goal, but based on what you said about her, she might even be able to do it," Dad said. "Maybe we can train together and teach each other some fighting skills." Said Lari from the living room. "Maybe, but if we do, this time don't push yourself too hard or you might pull another muscle," I said. "Oh, and Lari, how was soccer practice at school today?" Dad asked. "Good. Coach said that if we keep up the good work, we'll win for sure." He said. "Now remember, the important thing isn't winning, it's about having fun while playing." Said Kai. "I know dad." Replied Lari. Skylor and Akidah went to the store to pick up the items in order to make dinner. I looked at the clock that was on the wall and saw that it was 5:17. "Mia should be here in about 13 minutes," I said. "Okay." Said dad. I washed the plates and silverware and dad dried them and placed them on the shelf. Soon, Skylor and Akidah came home with the groceries and placed them in the cupboards. "So, what's for dinner?" I asked. "Steak, mashed potatoes, and some vegetables." Said Skylor. "Okay, sounds good," I replied. About a few minutes later, there was a knock at the front door. "I'll get it!" I said as I made my way to the door. I opened it and saw Mia standing in front of me. "Hey Mia, you're welcome to come in if you'd like," I said. She smiled and said, "Nice place you've got here May." We walked to the living room and she put her things down. "So, what do you want to do Mia?" I asked her. "I don't know." She said as she shrugged her shoulders. Soon, the rest of my siblings came over and sat down with us. "Mia, I'd like to introduce you to my brothers since you've already met Akidah," I said. "Okay." She responded. "Okay, the blond is Kabaz, the red-head is Sker, and the brunette is Lari. He was the same boy that made the big announcement this morning." I told her. "Oh yeah, I knew you looked familiar," Mia said to Lari. "So Mia, I heard that you train in martial arts and combat. Is that right?" Said Sker. "Yeah, I've been training since I was probably about 6 years old. My grandmother taught me those things at her academy back in Stixx, but unfortunately, it was shut down due to some financial problems." She said. "Do you wanna train later Mia? Maybe we can show each other some fighting skills too." Asked Lari. Mia nodded and said, "Sure. That sounds okay." Soon, my dads and Skylor came over and introduced themselves. "Wow, I've always wanted to meet you guys ever since the whole 'Preeminent Incident'. I really admire you." Mia said. "Thank you Mia, you're very kind." Said Lloyd. After a while, we decided to go out to the training course and practice. We all grabbed our wooden weapons and stood in a circle. "Okay, who's gonna go first?" Asked Kabaz. "Mia, wanna go with someone?" Asked Akidah. "Sure, but who will I go against?" She responded. "I'll go!" Said Lari in an excited tone. "You sure?" Kabaz asked. Lari nodded his head and ran over to the other side of the course and got into position.
Lari's Point of View~
I was kinda nervous about facing off with Mia, but in the back of my mind, a voice was saying that if I do this, it'll help me unlock my true potential and discover my elemental dragon. I went to the other side of the course and got into a ready position. Mia walked up further away and she got into position as well. "Ready...set...go!" Shouted Kabaz. We both ran up to each other and swung our wooden swords aggressively. They both collided together with a big smack. Mia then pulled her sword back and rushed around me before I even knew it. Then, she shoved me down, knocking the sword out of my hands. And before she was able to deliver the final blow, I quickly spun around on the ground, causing her to trip. I picked up my sword and made an attempt to strike, but she rolled out of way. We continued to fight for a minute or two before she struck my sword out of my hands and it landed far away on the ground. Then, she held hers out in front of her and I was left unarmed. "And our winner is Mia!" Shouted Sker from the steps. "Nice fight Lari, you're really strong and really good at strategizing," Mia said as she put her hand out to shake. I shook it and said, "Yeah, good fight. And the same goes for you too." A few more fights took place before Skylor called us in for dinner. We went inside and washed up then took a seat at the table. Skylor and dads served our plates and the food looked really good. "Wow, steak. It looks delicious. Thanks for having me over guys, it's a real honor." Said Mia. "We're glad you came and got to meet you too Mia." Said Lloyd. And then we began to eat our dinner. After dinner, Mia stayed over a while more before going back home. "Mia's amazing! You guys are lucky that she's in your class." I said to May and Akidah. "Heh, she is cool, but I bet there's someone in your class that just as cool." Said May. I looked at the clock on my phone and noticed that it was 9:00. "Okay kids, you have an hour and a half before you gotta go to bed. So, use this time to do what you want." Said Kai. "Okay, dad." We all said. I went to me and my brothers' room and changed into some sweatpants and a t-shirt. I put my socks back on and walked out to the front door. I sat down on the porch and stared at the glimmering stars and moon. It was a beautiful sight. My hair was slightly fluttering in the cool breeze that passed by. I took a deep breath in then let it all out. From behind me, I heard the door open and Lloyd came out and sat down next to me. "Hey dad, I was gonna come in if that's what you came for," I said. "Don't worry, I wasn't expecting you to come in. I wanted to sit out here too. It is a gorgeous night isn't it?" He said. "Yeah, it is," I responded. We sat out there for a while and talked. I guess we lost track of time because I was getting kinda tired and I was yawning. "I guess someone's tired." Said dad. "I guess...so dad," I said as another yawn was in between my words. "Well, c'mon, let's get you put into bed," Dad said as he got up. I stood up and we walked to my room and I got into bed. "Night Lari," Dad said. "Night," I responded. Then, he turned the light off and shut the door. Soon, sleep clouded my mind and I drifted off into slumber.
