Chapter Twenty Nine: Rise

Third Person's Point of View~
Akidah and Sker went back inside there factory where everyone else was and Sker was going to apologize to them. It was silent in there and the only light there was, was just a small fire. And even though it was really late, everyone was surprisingly still awake. Once the two walked in, everyone's attention was directed to them, including Kabaz. But the expression on his face was different from what you'd expect it to be. Kabaz's expression wasn't an angry one nor one of relief or much of anything. He just stared at him blankly. Almost instantly the others, besides Kabaz, started questioning Sker on where he was, what took us so long, and other things. "I was just talking with Akidah, but I also have to tell the rest of you something really important too," Sker said. The others fell quiet and had their eyes laid on him. Sker took a deep breath and stood still. "I wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything that I did to you all. I'm sorry for putting your lives in danger and leaving you behind after. I'm also sorry for yelling at you all and blaming you. I never meant to do that to any of you. I only wanted our parents to be here and help us. But I only let my desires get the better of me and blind me of how I acted and what I was doing. But I realized what I did wrong and I want to make it up to you. I'm especially sorry to you, Kabaz. You were right, it was stupid of me to do everything that I did. I'm sorry that I fought with you. I'm sorry for everything. Can you forgive me?" Sker said sincerely. After he said that, everyone looked at Kabaz who now had a shocked expression on his face. A moment of silence passed before Kabaz got up and walked over to Sker. The two boys looked at each other in silence before Kabaz smirked and cocked his head to the side. "Of course I forgive you, bro. Even though you ticked me off, it's hard to stay mad at you. Besides, if we didn't make up, the next plan would never work." Kabaz said as he held his hand out to shake with Sker's. Sker and Kabaz shook hands and after, May asked, "Kabaz, you said you had a plan?" Kabaz looked at her and responded, "Yeah, I was thinking about it and I'm sure it'll work." Everyone was intrigued with Kabaz had to say. "Well, what's your plan, bro?" Lari asked. "Well, as we all know, Sker is the Master of Amber and he can absorb anyone's power and that includes Haru or Overlord's. And I actually remembered that Overlord shot a green energy orb at us which can only be summoned by Lloyd or another Master of Amber. So, the two of them must have taken our parents' powers and are using them as their own." Kabaz began. "I nearly forgot about that! Now that I think about it, he also told dad that he "had nothing"." Lari exclaimed. "Yeah, and as I was saying, Sker can absorb their powers if he touches them. So, if we can get him close enough to either of them, he can touch them, and then he'll be able to use their powers against them." Kabaz said. "That sounds like a good plan, but I still have a couple of questions. Like, how are we going to get Sker close enough and what are we going to do once he absorbs their power?" Mia asked. "Well, Sker, May, Akidah, and I would offer ourselves up to them so we'd be able to get close. We're going to allow ourselves to be captured by the Stone Warriors and they'd most likely take us to Haru and the Overlord. And once we're in there, I'll give a signal and that when we attack them by surprise. And once we catch them off guard, then Sker can sneak up on them and touch either of them. The other four will stay on top of a building will watch out for anything. You'll also be our targets when we're making our escape so we can use the power against them. Got it?" Kabaz explained. For everyone, the plan seemed really good and could work. "But wait, if they took my mom's powers, that means they see into our heads are read our thoughts. If we think about the plan, they could see it and possibly take us out. So, whenever we do get captured and are taken to them, we can't think the plan at all. We have to think about something completely random or something to trick them. But no matter what, don't think about the plan." Sker announced. "Right. Thanks for bringing that point up." Kabaz said. "So everyone knows what we're doing?" May asked the group. "Yeah!" Everyone exclaimed. "Great! So tonight, we rise and fight for what we hold dear!" Sker cheered as he lifted up a fist in solidarity.
