Narration~
It's been two days since Lari was finally better and all he wanted to do was get out of the house and take a nice walk in the woods. But he was never able to do it because of two reasons. The first reason was because his dads didn't want him running off again, and the second reason was because of his subconscious fear of what happened and all the worry that was caused a couple of days prior. But today, he was going to gather up the courage and ask to go out, but might regret he ever made that decision.
Lari's Point of View~
Now that I wasn't sick anymore, I wanted to do something active. Training was out of the question because ever since the accident, I was too afraid to train. I was afraid that if that extra practice did do something to trigger my true potential, it'll probably end up being something that's potentially dangerous or life-threatening. And I did not want to take that possibility, so, I stopped and training and stopped the use of my powers. And to be honest, I was so afraid of something like what I did to May, Kabaz, and Akidah, I couldn't bear to look at them, knowing that their bruises and scars reminded me of what I had done to them on that dreadful night. When I was sick, on the outside, I seemed to be more cheerful around them, but on the inside, I felt ashamed. Shame washed over me like a big thunderstorm pouring rain on a certain area. And because I never went outside, I usually cooped myself in my room. Sometimes, I'd come out, but it would only be a short moment before I couldn't handle the stress. But today, I decided that I would try and go and take a walk through the woods that I was well known to. I took a deep breath and gathered my courage and walked down the hall to the living room where Lloyd and the others were watching tv. I was hesitant, but opened my mouth and asked, "Dads?" Everyone turned their heads towards my direction and all eyes were on me. "What is it, Lari?" Lloyd asked? "I...I was wondering if I could go out and take a walk in the woods for a while, you know, since I've been cooped up in this house. I wanna go out and stretch my legs, get some fresh air, and feel the nice cool air blowing on my face. So, can I go out?" I asked. Dads looked at each other then back at me. "Well, I don't know. I mean, you got over being sick, and we don't want you to catch a cold out in the cool air. And we don't want you to go wandering off to far again." Said Kai. "Please? I won't get sick again, I'll have a jacket on and I won't wander off. Please can I go? It's so dull in this house and I don't wanna waste the rest of the break in this house doing the same things." I said. Lloyd sighed and responded, "Okay, you can go. But be careful and no wandering off. If you start to get pretty cold or feel bad, come home." I smiled and said, "Okay dad, I will. Thank you." Then, Kabaz stood up and stretched out his arms. "Hey Lari, you mind if I tag along with you?" He asked. I was startled by him and I was quite. I didn't want to make him feel bad or anything, so I said that he could, but when he came to me, I felt guilt creeping in my head. Kabaz ruffled my hair and grabbed his jacket. I took mine off the hanger from the closet and slipped it on. "Bye, you two, and be safe!" Called Lloyd from the living room as we were walking out the door. "Bye!" We both said. Then we left and walked into the woods. "So, where are we gonna go?" Kabaz asked. "I don't know, let's just walk and maybe take a break and see where we're at," I replied. "Okay, but we can't go too far away." He said. "I know," I said in response. We continued to walk until we came across a cliff. I've never seen it here before. "Hey cool, I can see a stream at the bottom! It's so awesome!" I shouted as stood a bit at the edge of the cliff. "I bet it looks amazing, but be careful Lari." Said Kabaz from the other end. "I will," I replied. The trees were pretty thick at the bottom and the stream was flowing. I see could a couple of animals getting a drink and I saw some birds flying in the sky. The air felt wonderful upon my cheeks, they were nice and fresh. Soon after I was done looking at the view, I decided that I would head back over to my brother. As I began to make my way back to Kabaz, the ground below my feet cracked and broke off. I slipped and fell, but managed to catch myself with one hand on the remaining ledge. "Kabaz!! Help!" I yelled as I was dangling from the ledge. I was slowly slipping and I couldn't pull myself up. "Lari! Hold on! I'm coming!" I heard Kabaz shout. I was panicking, but before he could grab my hand, the ledge that I had latched onto broke, and I fell down to the ground below. "No!! Lari!!" Kabaz screamed as I fell. I hit the branches of the trees and hit the ground. I was hurt badly and my vision was blurry and it seemed as if the whole world was spinning. As I looked around, trying to hold on to consciousness, I saw a black figure coming towards me. I didn't know who or what it was, but there was nothing I could do about it. "Kabaz..." I said faintly before blacking out.
