Darling in the Franxx: Code Zero

Prologue

"Where am I? Why did these people in white jackets take me? I want to go back to my friends. I don't understand what I did wrong. Why are they calling me a monster when they are the ones experimenting me? All I did was talk to my friends who understood me and didn't leave me. Who is that red girl? Is she like me? Why are they hurting her? Is she bad? But she's just like me except red and I'm blue. Why are they putting us in this room? She was crying and I went up to her to comfort her. She smiled. We became friends. We played together for a long time. We understood each other. Until they took me away from her. She took my hands and tried to pull me away from them but instead she got hurt because of me. I let go and said goodbye in our language all teary eyed. She cried lying on the floor and then passed out. They carried her and took both me and her to a lab. In that lab they put us on two different tables and erased our memories of each other. They did it because they were going to use us both in the future for their plan. And they didn't want us remembering anything about each other. They took her somewhere that I didn't know about and they took me to another place far away and that's where I met Papa and Mama. They said that they were going to take care of me and help me become human. I didn't understand but I listened. As days went by, I progressed and became more human. One day, the alarm went off and they hid me because someone had taken one of the codes they were working on. I didn't know who but Papa and Mama didn't want them to find me and take me with them. A day or two went by and Papa and Mama let me out. They said everything was fine now and I was safe.

A couple of months afterwards, another child was brought to Papa and Mama. He looked human but I knew he wasn't. I could sense he was similar to me but not exactly. We only saw eachother once. We were both kept seperated in case something happened between us. After that happened we gradually forgot about each other. As time went on more children came and I was kept hidden most of the time from then on. They focused on the new children more but at night they worked with me and taught me how to be human and how to control my power that I had.

But soon in a year, they would bring me out of hiding to join a team with those children and another child that I didn't know about. Who knew that the child was once my friend and we had no clue. But we would be seperated again because of my power and how different I was compared to that team. Everyone's mind's would be erased again and we would meet by "fate". No one would remember me and I wouldn't remember them. Maybe...

My name is Code 000. I am going to tell you the story of how I became this person and all of the things that I did. And what the outcome of all of the problems that had happened to this Earth because of me. But I also had many great memories and times with everyone. I know that they all loved me even if I was a monster but still cared about me. Well let's start this beautiful and mesmerizing story, shall we?"
