The same blue eyes kept staring back at me for what felt like hours until I heard a cough behind me. I looked back and saw a woman that I often ran into in the mornings when I went out. She had a tired look on her face and was carrying 3 bags of groceries that looked pretty heavy. I took a step back letting her walk into the lift first before walking behind her. He followed me and closed the lift pressing the number 4. My eyes enlarged and the thought of him being a stalker crossed my mind. How could he know where I lived. The lift stopped at the fourth and I got out after him. Words escaped my lips again without being filtered.

"How did you find out that I live here? Have you been stalking me?" He opened his mouth to speak, but I raised my hand "Wasn't one night enough to ruin that you had to follow me and come into m...." I couldn't finish my sentence as a hand grabbed me and I was spun around. I felt myself being slightly pushed as my back hit the wall. His face was a few inches away from mine, and a look of amusement covered his face. He heaved a sigh before speaking in a calm voice. "You don't get to talk anymore, or ever. I am not a stalker. I just happened to live in this building" He spoke glancing at apartment 4A. My mouth dropped at his confession. "You are my neighbor?"

The corners of his mouth drooped lower as he took in my question. He turned around, a hand going up his hair ruffling it aggressively. He stood with his back to me for about a minute before I decided that I was done with him. I took my keys and was unlocking the door when I felt someone breathing down my neck. I froze in place and instinctively my eyes shut. I felt him standing right behind me and spoke in my ear in a cold tone sending chills throughout my entire body. "You embarrassed me the other night. You will suffer for that little stunt you pulled." I felt him leave me and the door to his apartment closing behind him.

I was left all alone outside my apartment. I shook my head from side to side before entering. I closed the door sliding down to the floor I sat still for a minute before tears began to graze my cheeks falling onto the dress I was wearing. It wasn't what he said that made me feel this way but rather his actions. It reminded me of something I have been wanting to forget. The feeling of being vulnerable took over me as I wept into my hands. I felt powerless like back then. His breathing and the cold tone reminded me of someone.

*flashback*around six months ago

I felt the wet floor beneath me as I lay on my side with the coldness creeping through my whole body. I knew that without a blanket or some warmth within the next few minutes I would probably pass out. I tried rubbing my hands, but they were restricted from the ropes tying it together. By then, my shoulders had been hurting for hours and my body had been aching in pain. I felt hopeless thinking there was no way out. I tried screaming but it was muffled by the cloth covering it. Tears started stinging my eyes making me shut it. It was then I heard the door open and footsteps trailing its way towards me. I had memorized the pattern of it. The person would reach me in ... three... two... one. Right on time I felt someone pick me up by the shoulder and left be at a sitting position. I felt breathing down my neck and heard the smack of lips before they started trialing harsh kisses along the length of my shoulder. I felt violated. I writhed in pain trying to get away. The person held me down with strong hands as he started to aggressively suck at my neck and biting it. I screamed. but there was no one to hear it. I felt helpless.

*flashback end*

Life wasn't always rainbows and unicorns. There were blood, sweat and tears involved too. There are things you will try to forget your whole life but they still haunt you wherever you go.

Tears fell down my face into the water below as I sat in the bath tub reminiscing the past. My dress laid in a corner of the bathroom as I remembered the struggle I had getting out of it. Half an hour ago I felt the cold engulf me as I shivered feeling unable to move an inch without dying. I ran into the bathroom and had turned on the tap letting the warm water fall into the bathtub as I struggled to get out of the dress. In the end I think I may have popped a few stitches. I had stripped down and got into the bath as fast as I could to increase my body temperature.

The water has lost its warmth by now so I got out and grabbed a towel. After drying off I put on a robe and went into the kitchen to get myself a glass of warm milk. Next thing I know, I woke up to the sound of a bell ringing endlessly. I moved my neck from side to side as I heard bones popping. I had fallen asleep on the sofa in an awkward position. The bell was still ringing nonstop so I shouted "coming" before getting up and stretching my arms trying to keep my eyes open. I opened the door without glancing through the peephole. My eyes opened wide at the sight in front of me.

A/N:

I know I said I would post a new chapter last week but I had been sick and busy. I did write the chapter but it wasn't how I expected it to be so I re-wrote it again.
