A/N: Hey everyone.
Here's a new chapter. As i was writing i felt difficult to write some scenes. Everything I write plays in my mind like a movie before it becomes words maybe which is why it is difficult to convey the true feelings and actions. I have tried my best but I always like to leave it to readers imagination to put color into the story.
Enjoy the chapter. It's a different point of view this time to fill some gaps.
Jay POV
As I backed out of the drive way onto the road, I heard Luna yell out to drive safe. I could not help but give her a glance through the tinted windshield. She stood on the porch, and I could see sadness written on her face. Maybe it was because I was leaving so fast, or maybe I should not have pushed her. We haven't been friends for long and it wasn't my business, but why did I want it to be my business. In the short time we have known each other, it was amazing getting to know her. She and Mia are so different that sometimes I wonder how they get along with each other so well. Mia is so carefree and passionate. Luna on the other hand is..... what is that word... mysterious yes. She is enigmatic. Just when you think you know her you don't.
She smiles, yet they rarely reach her eyes. When I made eye contact with her for the first time today, I felt like I was being dragged into a pool of vast blackness. There was no light. There was no shine. Just pitch darkness. As if there was nothing. I think I triggered something in her. I pushed her to talk about something she didn't want to. We barely knew each other of course she couldn't trust me with it.
HONK! HONK! The sound brought me back to reality and I realized I had reached my destination. I got out of the car and ran up the steps of Edward King Memorial Hospital. After pushing myself past the other 50 or so people in the hall I finally reached the reception. "Which room is Iris King admitted in?"
"Ummm.....What is your relation with the patient sir?" after typing in the name, the nurse looked up to me.
"I'm her ........" I hesitated before speaking again, "... boyfriend".
"Well could you say your name please?" She said picking up the phone.
"Jay Salander"
She spoke to someone on the phone, "There is a Jay Salander here to meet Iris King, sir....... Yes he is... Okay" She hung up the phone and spoke to me.
"She is in room 901. Ninth floor. You will need this pass to access the floor". She handed me a card and pointed at the lift to her right.
As I got in, I realized where I was going. I gulped before pressing the button for the ninth floor and waited for the lift to raise. The lift stopped on the sixth floor as someone got in with a bundle of files in his hand. "Could you press the 8th floor please?" I pressed the 8th and stood there wondering what had happened to Iris. All they said was that she was in an accident and still being examined.
I walked out of the elevator and was confronted by security who asked for my pass. I showed it to him and he let me pass through after I told him the room I was going. This must be some VIP section for them to have so much precautions. I walked past the waiting area and the first room was 901. I exhaled before knocking on the door. "Come in", a deep voice answered from the other side.
I pushed the door and into the room and the first thing I notice is Iris on her bed. She looked so beautiful even lying there with her eyes closed. Her hair flowed like its own on the pillow. She had an oxygen mask on and lines running into her arm. Machines beeped and whirred around her. To the edge of her bed stood Mr. Salvatore, the King's personal secretary. He looked at me before looking back at Iris.
