My alarm blazed and I almost threw my phone. I groaned in exhaustion (which I seem to do quite often recently). All the events earlier drained my soul away and to think the day isn't even over yet is enough for me to not want to get out of bed.
I dismissed my alarm and tried to go back to sleep but when I remembered what the alarm was for made me get up.
Jisoo will be there. Maybe things will go in the right direction somehow. Anyway, the day isn't over yet so maybe this day wouldn't be so bad after all.
As soon as I stepped foot in the VIP room where we'll have dinner, a familiar face came running and screaming towards me. Yes. She's really screaming. And I screamed with her.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaaahhh Jendeuk! Finally!"
"Jisoo unniee!!" We're holding each other's arms and jumped around. I haven't been this happy and crazy for a while.
"Yah!"she playfully pushed me and I dramatically fell to the ground.
"Why? What did I do to deserve this?" I said overreacting.
"You still suck at acting" she laughed
"Yah!" I stood up and this time I pushed her.
"No, they're not fighting. That's just normal occurrence." I could hear aunt Bom say in the distance to two girls which I presume are her daughters.
"How dare you just show your face now! It's not like we're in different countries!" Jisoo said putting me in a headlock.
"Well excuse me! I was not the one who moved and changed schools!" I struggled
"Heol. That's true." Before I came free from her grasp, something caught my eye and I gasped then looked at her accusing of betrayal.
"What?" I'm so not gonna let her go for this.
"You're married?!" She quickly glanced at her distant family and shrugged.
"She's delusional. Don't mind her. She'll just tell you a fictional story." I could see jisoo was hurt by that remark but she covered if with a laugh.
"I'm Hayi by the way."
"Anne." I smilled
"Anne?" Jisoo raised a brow
"Hayi, that wasn't appropriate. Sorry about that unnie." She must be the eldest.
"Well it is true. She really bought a ring and claims he's her husband. That is delusional you know."
"She's kidding! And you're just jealous. Besides, aren't you delusional as well thinking you'd be in one house with that guy."
"What guy? He has a name! Jimin! Park jimin! And no, that's called being futuristic and at least I didn't buy a house."
"Yet." Hayi left and went back to her seat.
"Sorry for her. She's spoiled." She smiled and she talks really cute
"It's ok. I'm used to her but don't get too surprised if I accidentally push her down the stairs." Jisoo laughed but the latter has her eyes bulging out of her sockets. I laughed
"Don't worry. She's just joking." She had a hand over her heart and sighed in relief.
"I hate her sometimes. But she is still my sister. Rosé by the way" I shook her hand
"What's with people and changing names? Alright I'll join you. I'm Mrs. Park."
"That's not considered as your name unnie. Just call me rosé since chaeyoung is too long for me."
"Uuhhh.. you do know both just have 2 syllables right?"
"Oh.. it is?" We laughed and was called out by mom cause dinner will be served.
We sat down together as we wait for the food to arrive when hayi screamed and started fanning herself.
"What? What is it?!" Aunt Bom grabbed a fork, ready to stab anyone.
"Suga's gonna release a song."
"Sugar?" Rosé innocently asked making me calm a little after being unease hearing his stage name.
"Suga huh." Jisoo looked at me like she knows something happened to us. And I looked at her guilty
"We were CHILDHOOD friends." Her eyes says
"I know. I'll tell you when I'm ready." I replied silently.
"Ooh. Are you guys having a staring contest?" Jisoo laughed and good thing the food arrived before any of us could retort.
It's funny how we could understand each other with just a look in the eye. Yes, we're best friends but we haven't communicated after sooo long. I guess that's what they say with friendship, distance and communication doesn't matter cause when you see each other again it'll feel like you still always have been together.
One of these days I'll have to tell her. She knows yoongi too, there were three of us before. And among anyone else, I think she's the perfect person to tell. And I know she has one too. With that ring, engraved with letters and a date, how she looked when she was told delusional I'm sure she has. As I have..
A secret to tell .
