ROTIMI'S POV

It's morning. Gavin and I decide to meet with Natalie now versus later because I have some interviews to do later. Plus, I need to make time for Zara because she called me last night and said that she needed to talk.

After I get dressed...

I leave my house and get into my car

I pull up at the local bakery. We're meeting Natalie here because we wanted to meet her somewhere mutual just in case Natalie ends up being just as crazy as her foster brother. Also, Gavin's hungry ass wanted some brownies.

I see Gavin and he drives up beside me and parks.

"Is she here yet?" He asks.

"I don't think so..." I look around.

We both walk inside of the bakery.

"Okay cool... well I'm gonna go order some brownies while we wait."

"Bruh, it's 10:30 in the morning. Why are you thinking about brownies?" I ask.

"It's never too early for brownies."

I laugh as Gavin walks away to the greet the lady at the register.

Ten minutes have gone by and finally Natalie walks into the store. When she sees us, she smiles and walks over to sit with us.

"Hey..." She sits down.

Natalie looks at Gavin and then looks at me.

"Oh yeah, I forgot... Gavin this is Natalie. Natalie, Gavin."

"Nice to meet you." She says to him.

"...whatever you have to say, you can say in front of him. He's one of the very few people that I trust with my life." I explain.

"Okay cool... well, I'm just going to get right into it. The other day, I saw Nathan when I left out of the grocery store... soooo, I followed him." She shrugs.

"Natalie!" Gavin and I say together.

"What if he would've saw you?! He could've hurt you!" I say in a loud whisper.

"I know but I just had to..." She says.

"Well, what happened when you followed him?" Gavin asks.

"I followed him to some building. It was after hours so not many cars were in the lot so I had to park across the street and sneak over to where he was... he was on the phone."

I look at her like she's crazy.

"Did you figure out who he was talking to?" I ask.

"No. I tried but I didn't want to get too close.... but from where I was standing, I could hear him say Mac's name... which further proves that HE isn't Mac."

Gavin and I are clinging to every word coming from Natalie's mouth.

"Whoever he was talking to must have been the person who let him into the building." She says.

"Why do you think that?" Gavin asks.

"Because when the person came out of the building, he was on the phone too. When they saw each other, they got off their phones at the same time." She replies.

"Did you recognize the man?" Gavin says.

"No. All I could see was that he was tall."

"Do you know the name of the building?" I ask.

"Yeah. It's that fancy hotel called Harbourview Heights."

My mouth instantly drops to the floor.

"What's wrong?" She asks.

"I know that hotel." I say.

"You've stayed their before?" Gavin asks.

"No but I know the person who owns it."

Gavin and Natalie look at me as if they're yelling at me with their eyes to reveal the name of the person I'm talking about.

"The person who owns that hotel is Harrison Porter... Ariel's dad."
