ROTIMI'S POV

Zara and I pull up to the restaurant that Jackson wanted to meet. We walk in and see him sitting at a table in the back.

"I thought I told you to tell her to come alone." Jackson says as we approach the table.

"He did. But I do what the fuck I want so..." Zara sits down, smiling.

I sit next to her.

"You can either say what you want to say or we can leave right now. Choice is yours." She says.

Jackson shakes his head; looking like he's thinking about what he wants to say next.

"Fine... let's talk." Jackson says.

Marcelle is here too but we told him to walk in a few minutes after us and to sit away from us but still close enough to react if he needs to. Two of Alonso's body guards are outside waiting in the car.

They got their eye on Jackson through the restaurant window, with their guns ready, just in case Marcelle needs to give them the word to take Jackson out.

"So, what do you want?" Zara asks.

"One thing I wanted to talk to you about was us... but I can see that you're still with him..."

"Yeah, she's with me. Is there a problem?" I say.

Zara places her hand on my leg to calm me down.

"Nope. No problem." Jackson smirks.

"So... what else did you want to talk about?" Zara asks.

Jackson isn't saying anything. Zara and I glance at each other then look back at Jackson.

"Well, it's clear that you don't know what to say. Maybe you should ask Harrison what you should say next." I say.

Zara and Jackson both look at me.

"What are you talking..." Jackson begins.

"Since we've been here at this table, your phone has vibrated four times. Each time it's been a text message from a "HP" and unless laptops can send text messages on their own, I'm pretty sure HP stands for Harrison Porter..." I start to say.

Jackson begins to look nervous.

"HP could be anybody." Jackson replies.

"Could be. But it's not just anybody because if it wasn't Harrison, you would've just said that. Saying that it 'could be anybody' means that I'm right and you don't want to admit it. So, the question is, why would you be texting a known drug dealer?" I ask.

Zara tries to hold in her laughter. Jackson still isn't talking.

"...I'll help you out. My guess is that Harrison wanted you to get information from Zara to use against her father."

"What would her father have to do with anything..." Jackson asks.

"It's practically public street knowledge that Harrison and Alonso have been drug dealing rivals since forever. And the fact that he's texting you so frequently while you're having this meeting with us has to be more than a coincidence...." I explain.

Jackson looks away and takes a breath before looking at us again.

"How long have you known?" He asks.

"Long enough. So what does Harrison want?" Zara replies.

"If you really know everything then you should already know what he wants." Jackson says.

We do know. He wants the cocaine that Santiago has hidden in the Dominican Republic. But if Jackson isn't saying it out loud then there's a chance that he doesn't know as much, and if that's the case, we don't want to say anything that could tip Jackson off.

"Okay. Well, if you're as close go Harrison as we think you are then you and Harrison should know what we want in exchange." Zara says.

"How about we set up another meeting with Harrison and your dad." Jackson says.

Zara and I look at each other. She grabs her phone and texts Marcelle.

"If my dad agrees to this meeting, how do we know it won't be a set up to get him killed?" Zara asks.

Jackson stands up.

"I guess you won't know. You have my number. Let me know if he agrees." He shrugs as he walks out of the restaurant.

Marcelle walks over to sit down with us.

"So, do you think we should trust this whole meeting thing?" Zara asks Marcelle.

"I'm not sure. Harrison isn't the type to kill someone before he gets what he wants. But at the same time, something about all this feels too easy." Marcelle says.
