Readers POV:

I opened my eyes slowly and peeked over the covers. There Michael laid with his back towards me. I looked over my shoulder at the time. 6:01am.

I didn't want to get out of the bed. It was so comfortable, I could lay here forever. I still needed time alone. But I really wasn't alone. I just needed time away from Ray and Gavin. I didn't want to face them right after what happened with Michael.

I turned back over to face Michael and he was still sound asleep. I lifted myself next to him and shook his shoulders.

"Hey." I said firmly.

His body began to move as I sat next to him. He slowly opened his eyes and faced me.

"Hey." He said with a morning voice.

"We have to go to school." I responded.

"Ugh....." he sighed, "can we just skip? I'm sure they can do without us."

I guess we could skip. One day won't hurt. But what about the car pooling?

"What about the 3 other people you are responsible to take to school?" I questioned.

"They can manage. I'll send them a group text I guess." He commented. He reached over to his nightstand and grabbed his phone off the charger.

"Make sure you include me. Don't want to look too suspicious." I winked.

Michael nodded and began to compose a text. I grabbed my phone and watched the notification appear.

Michael: Guys I won't be able to make it to school. Can you find another ride to school?

Gavin: Sure thing boi. What's wrong?

Barbara: Yup I can get a ride with Miles.

Me: Actually I won't make it to school either. I woke up feeling a bit uneasy. And then I threw up.

Totally bullshit. In fact I woke up feeling totally amazing.

Michael: Well there's some stuff I need to take care of with my family. And feel better (y/n).

Ray: I will as well ride with Miles.

Gavin: What kind of family stuff? Everything alright?

Michael: Good. Glad everyone made arrangements.

Michael: Like I said its family stuff. It's kind of personal.

Gavin: Understandable. So you later then?

Michael: Yup.

I looked over at Michael and he gave me a smile. I had to know what we were. A couple? friends? Friends with benefits....? (by 'benefits' I mean kissing but maybe one day more.)

"Let's go do something. You know as a first official date." He smiled.

Did he say date? So we are a thing?

"Uhh yeah sure...." I said awkwardly.

"Where to?" He questioned.

Where can we go at 6:25 in the morning....hmmm....

"How bout we relax for now and then do something later. We do have all day..." I replied.

"You know what? You're right. Let's start off the perfect day with some sleep." Michael joked.

"Michael I'm serious. And besides I'm not a morning person and I know you're not either. We have more fun in the afternoon." I commented.

"I'm serious too. Lets just lay here and sleep." He said.
